I was a senior in this school in 2004, I LOOVVED that school! I must not have been at that lunch. I would have remembered that for sure. If the camera was a bit more still, I'd be able to name half the people there.
11th grade English. I still use her 5 paragraph essay format as the basis of everything I write. It has gotten me through a BS in Electrical Engineering, grad school, and eleven years as an officer in the U.S. Army. Yes, we do lots more writing than killing.
She was crazy about horses or Florida. Mention either and the you are off in tangent land for at least twenty minutes.
lol. oh wow. I can't believe it. I've had her for both 11th and 12th grade English. I tried to switch out. But that's another story. I heard that she looks the same as she did back then in the 70s. I wonder how old she is. She still complains about stuff and she still has humor. And she's kinda slow and give us 30 words to memorize a week. did she have you guys do that??
Yes, her vocabulary builder is a great preparation for the SATs. She may be old but she was a great teacher. I did not believe it at the time but the ability to communicate well will set you well for the real working world. I definately remember one lime green pant suit she used to where.
she doesn't wear that with our generation. She just wear black pants, beat up reeboks and a white shirt , I think. wow. How many years do you think that Mrs. Flyn has until she dies or retires(which ever one comes first)??
When you get up there that high it depends on how useful you feel. That is why so many Americans croak after they stop working. In our culture work defines too much of who we are. The Europeans seem to do fine with leaving work in the 50s and still living a long time.
??ok. I think she has 3 more years. But so did the kids 15 years before me. So I'm really guessing that she has 18 more years. then after that she is a flat pancake. You see I know the real reason why Mrs. Flynn is miraculously alive. It's because all of the points that she takes from our test grades, become minutes more for her life. That's why she's been teaching 4ever.
