The best part was at the end of the movie when the kid said "are you still gonna shoot me in the ass" and ed said "ummmm..YES!"..I was laughing my ass off!!

@steven2be2003 That's not how it happens...they are all sitting together at the Thanksgiving table and Ethan gets up to get something and Ed has JoBeth move over a little bit and he pulls the pellet gun out from under the table and then Ethan slowly turns around and Ed shoots him...that's it. LOL

I kept telling my father to watch Modern Family, but he keeps saying that Al Bundy can't be funny in anything else.

I told him that Ed O'Neill acts more like he did in Dutch than in Married With Children.

Now I find out that my father has never seen Dutch, and that my brother who loves Modern Family has also never seen the movie, WOW.

I plan on picking it up tomorrow, granted they have it at Suncoast, cause it is a holiday movie, and if I have to watch Christmas Story one more time I may kill.

John Hughes was once master of the '80's teen genre. Then he had children. After that, he started making movies his kids could see and relate to. How the whole father experience changed him.

This was probably his last worthwhile movie. My one quibble with this trailer is that it kind of gives away the entire movie. So there aren't any surprises when we see it.

Still, how many people here were entranced by "Dutch" when they saw it way back when?
