Actually, compared to some of the PRS's and ibanez 7 strings on the market, the price point isn't that expensive. I don't mind tuning or intonating my guitar myself, but this would make for a great studio guitar or jam guitar.

To tune the guitar right is not a problem, (even if I can't hear it, on a stage or in a place where a lot of noice), I remember how much I have to spin if guitar is out of tune and I feel the vibration when I can't hear guitar. I don't know another way to tune it, I don't like pedals which help musicians to tune the guitar, I just know how all 7 notes sounds like, and I feell it, I play all music on my ear. Sorry for my english

@martinpleass how do you state that people who love this guitar can't play? I don't understand how, as a musician, you don't support someone who has bought this innovative guitar. It sounds like an SG, with some great multiple tuning features. I find myself playing over 4 hours a day, using the multiple tunings to work out new riffs, as well as playing some great old Zeppelin and Stones tunes. It's not just you, martinpleass, but many people jump to the same very ignorant conclusion.

I really don't get the hate either. Is an electric keyboard player less of a musician than a pianist because he doesn't have to have his keyboard tuned? Tuning is a dull process and people often don't do it right. The intonation tuner looks really nice! Frankly, I think it's a brilliant idea. You should learn to tune a guitar yourself, of course, but this is a cool invention!

People are misunderstanding the point of this here. What if you're playing a set live and you need a different tuning? No point swapping guitar or tuning it in front of people when you got this. Ok, personally, I think this guitar is both a wonderful idea and a terrible idea. Good idea because it's an innovation in guitar technology, seriously, A GUITAR THAT TUNES ITSELF? these guitars were a flop due to hefty price tag ($2500). During sunset period they were given away really cheap. I bought gibson explorer robot at the same price as regular gibson explorer. Now after having used it, I gotta say, tuning really works well when I am playing live. Am I lucky or what?? :)

@IKISSEDELMO Depends on the music you play, for example, I got an Ibanez in the RG series and I LOVE IT. It was around 450 bucks which is close to 350 Euros.Now my rule of thumb is that if you play over 1000 dollars for a guitar it's just paying more for no reason.Usually when you pay more you're paying for better pickups and wood(rosewood plywood ivory etc.)While those are factors in improving guitar sound,I say stick with an RG series Ibanez because of its versatility.Shred and play cleanly.
