I always just remind myself how much Tom Morello is able to do, and he only has 5-6 pedals (EVER!). I currently have five myself, but two are overdrive and one is a tuner! lol So, I think I'll be justified in getting four or five more pedals someday, but yeah, the problem is the "means" of acquiring them:S

I've found this works better if you dial in a wee bit of a long echo when recording the parts, gives it that shimmering effect when you double time. This is one of my favourite riffs to play, though I only have the one DL4 atm.

I have a Jamman and it can do these one timer loop things too. I am about to buy a dl4, but I only have enough money for one right now. I'm definitely going to have 2 in the future :D

My question is, Do you think it would be possible to do this with a Digitech Jamman looper and the dl4 in combo?

For the DL4s I use two separate adapters, my daisy chain doesn't work for them.

a compressor basically evens out louder and softer notes (ideal for tapping) and you can also adjust the attack/sustain.

I can tell you what I use: Boss Compressor and Equalizer and a Boss Distortion/Overdrive pedal. I also have a digitech multi-pedal, but that creates a lot of fuzz and noise. It's mostly about using a little more Bass, your neck pickup, and warmer tones (ask someone when you are buying strings, I use "cleartones" sometimes. All my other gear is pretty meh, and doesn't sound very good.

yeah ive just got into this style of playing and i use quite heavy strings, is it worth going down to like 10's?

will it effect my tone at all because i got a seymore quarter pound in my strat and its as punchy as you like with quite thick strings on?

Mastered? Eh...not really. I can play most of the MTB songs, but my camera is broken, and I have no means of recording it by sound either. I'll put some more songs up when it's fixed, but I have a few tapping songs, check out some of the other videos in my profile thing.
