Viper has a v10 so it can handle punishment but as all sports cars it will mess up eventually but not as often as a v6. Viper=Pro Athlete who is healthy and every now and then gets a case of the snuffles, Gtr= Kid on steroids and other enhancements to make him run fast and break down later. Do you get the analogy?

@calijerk310 My bad as I was thinking I was talking to another. Do you have the link with the GTR besting the Vipers time? Here's what the ACR has over the SRT-10: NO ENGINE MODIFICATIONS(so power and torque is the same as stock), adjustable suspension, no radio, amp, speakers, trunk carpet, tire inflater, totaling 80 lbs. less weight. It gained the wing however. This was it and it was built right along side of the SRT. It is far from being a heavily modded Viper. Anyway hook me up with link ;-)

@thybigballs i said look at the stock gt-r and the stock viper the base line of both cars, and then now look at their modded track versions. Thats what i meen the gt-r beats both and actually the only reeson the gt-r lost to the ac-r was the nissan team got fucked with bad weather and raced on semi-wet conditions. On a 14 mile track 2 seconds isn't a big difference and if the stock gt-r were to race on the track on dry conditions im more then confident it would eat the vipers beloved ac-r.

Another thing to mention is that the majority of those numbers are rumors and there have been no OFFICIAL reports from dodge themselves. The Viper is made by Chrysler which can barely keep its ass out of bankruptcy without Uncle Sam bailing it out, end of discussion. The new 2012 GTR 3.8L does the 1/4 mile in 11.0 seconds. And the 2012 Viper 8.4L, Dodge TECH has been in talks with "Ferrari’s engineers" for assistance on improving other aspects of the car such as handling, steering and stability control systems. @50908 That was not an ACR, it was a 2005 Commemorative Edition. The ACR has 600hp and a way better suspension setup. However the Viper is hot, loud and no frills. The GTR is better match for the 911 Turbo in refinement and class. Honestly the Vipers are overpriced kit cars with an engine designed when I was learning my ABC's. Great deal for $40K...maybe, but $90K your nuts. GTR is the better overall package.

Nissan GTR is the Best performance car from Japan, its the latest model with the latest tech with a big V6 engine by Cosworth, high RPM n big twin turbos with a 4WD drivetrain beneficial for acceleration. n 490HP doing 11.900 in 1/4 public record by factory, here it did 11.083 thats almost a 1 sec quicker which there was an additional heavy mod for it for that time.

The Viper is an old model, it does 12.100s in 1/4 mile with no Super charger. it did here 11.34 with SC

Actually the ACR is slower than the SRT10 in a straight line. The ACR was built for the track (hence having the best lap time ever at the Nurburgring). The ACR loses torque in a straight line due to a lot of downforce to help in cornering and handling.
