@lalamaddie1 the waters cold. Their going from a temp of around 80 to 90 degrees to 52 degrees. It's a shock at first.

52 is nothing. i just got back from the marine zoo camp and we swam with penguins. 37 degree water, talk about cold. Not to mention penguins were going after our feet. lol

@imarayquinnlover I went the first week of August in San Antonio It was well worth the money and a good insight into the workings of Sea World if you are interested in such work. As a kid I always wanted to interact with the Killer whales, but I must admit, the Penguins and Sea Lions were, to me, the best part of the trip. Just watchout for the penguins when you get into the water (don't worry the pain goes away in 5 minutes), those things like to peck at your feet A LOT. Have Fun!

@imarayquinnlover the water, lol. The wetsuits help and all but comparing them to the wetsuits of the people that work there, the ones given to you are less thick. Not to mention most of the people will be wearing water shoes. The water goes right through them. I actually had a penguin get its beak stuck in my water shoe when i got in. My friends thought i was kicking it when in fact i was shaking it loose.

I did that!! It was amazing. You could go underwater, and hear the whales. And i looked underwater and saw the whale at the gate, they are huge when your 10 ft away from them in the water.

Just for fun I would've been like "If you let me touch one of the Orcas I'll jump in the water IN A BIKINI!" lmao. I do that every March anyways xD the water where I swim in March is like 45-55 degrees so I'm used to it.

I did this in 2008 Career Camp there, and one of the whales was RIGHT by the gate just 8 ft away from us :) Most amazing thing I've ever experienced.
