I have searched for this game for the last 2 years when my copy stopped working i wont find it. This sucks it was like the first fantasy game i ever played (im only 12 and got this like 7) its the thing that made me love fantasy and in a big fan of oblivion and super excited for Skyrim but nothing can compare to the awesomeness that is Champs!!

My two brothers, there friend, and me use to play this game together like every day! I was always the warrior type my bro's where the mage type and there friend was the archer and we would spend hours on end playing this together!

i had this game for 5 years.... until it got stolen... then on the 13th of july 2011 ( birthday) after a year and a half of searching for it... i walk into EB games, and there it is... just lying there... someone actually decided that they didnt like this game?????? wtf is wrong with you people???? lol but still the best game ever;)

I used to own this game and Champions of Norrath. Got the sequel first and so was rather disappointed when I couldn't import my character to the original (I was young, whaddy'a gonna do?) Unfortunately, my brother had some pretty dodgy friends and they stole most of my PS2 collection. I never saw those two games again. :( Had some great moments playing these gems, along with BG: DA II.

This is definitely one of the best games around. The reason that there is no third one and probably never will be is that the company that made it doesn't exist any more. Champions 2 was one of the last games they made. Snowblind got bought out and split up.

I miss this game so much! Anyone know if I could get it for the pc somehow? I sold my playstation after this game stopped working :c back around the end of 2005. That was by far the best gaming experience I ever had with an RPG. If anyone wants to try it. You can order the ps2 version off of their site.

I've played this game and all I could say is that it's amazing. It's a great game which is definitely worth playing if you're an RPG fan. Too bad it's gone. I had it rented for 10 days for my ps2, but the time I spent playing it felt like a month. It was an exprience of a life time even though I didn't get to finish the game.

Well it's the same really. You're just playing with other people. You can talk to them if you have a usb keyboard.

Other than that, you just can't use that player when you're offline. =/

It's more fun to play with more people.

i played this for so long that after the 4th lvl 80 i got sick of it and moved onto World of Warcraft, most moves are the same only theres not just the limited capabilities ive started to realize this has. istill love the game and when i cant get online im sitting on CRTTA for the day. my advice, if u get bored with this try WoW its worth the price and its the same basic concept

once you have one level 80 and completed legendary, and if you have perfect bear figurines, then you create another character give the new character a perfect bear figurines from your lvl 80, then duplicate it till you have like 350 figurines, then start playing on champions right away and each kill will level you up :-), dont worry you'll be one hitting these enemies and they'll die because of your strength, then at lvl 30 keep on killing boss to level up fast...

Honestly I loved this game, For 4 months I had a living room full of friends and family playing this game for hours. Yes the lack of traveling options was kind of lacking, But For something free to play online this game was really well done, Most games that tried to be like it failed. I give it **** stars this game rocked. P.S. Was there ever a 3rd game to the Series???

I agree with bodasenbrock, the Champions series lacks exitement and freedom. When playing, there is only 1 specific way to go to get to the specific destination, which I myself do not like. I'm more of a fan of games that you do not have to go one specific way, I know there is good and bad, but they're not that far from the other. There also isn't a surplus of item choiced. Also the game lacks speels, and might be more fun if there were towns that you could learn skills like alchemy and smithing

It's absolutely free, the only 2 games that you have to pay to play online are Everquest Online Adventures (Frontiers too) and Final Fantasy XI

You need to get the Network Adaptor (it's an extension that goes on the back of your PS2)

You can purchase it from your local videogame store at a fairly good price. Then you need a cable to connect the Adapter to your Computers Modem, then you set up the options and stuff at the main menu of the PS2 (when theres no CD in)

It may sound hard but it's pretty easy

Lol you do ??? Then you don't need to get one, it already has one built in ! Check in the back, there will be a place where you can connect the cable to (it might have a yellow sticker idk)

All you need to do is get a cable and connect it to the back of your PS2 to the Modem

I'm planning on buying either this or Champions of Norrath. Most of the reviews I've read say it's "repetitive" or recycled content from the first one, so would it just be better to buy this one rather than the first? I'd appreciate the advice.

Well Yes this one is like the other one, accept i think this one is more gameplay myself but the other one has all the old character in it, and on the old champions you can transfer the old character into the new one (champions retrurn) so buy the old one get a high lv and beat the game then buy the champions return and put your characters on the this one thats what i done :)
