  • damn that fender bitch is crying!

  • its beautiful

  • Gawd, I would love to play that loud outside instead of strumming the strings insecurly in order not to upset the neighbours.

  • I can't tell whether that guy approaching at the end is about to complain about the noise or complaining he stopped.

  • i bet your neibours are proud

  • My god I love twins. which speaker version is this? as in magnet and brand? Stock tubes or no? I've been trying to gather some specs on various twins.

  • Stevie Ray Hendrix Gallagher:) sounded awesome!

  • dude your playing is fan fucking tastic dude. WHO ARE YOU!!! WHY HAVENT WE JAMMED

  • Sweet playing mate! Who influenced you the most cus you played sort of Hendrix type riffs.

  • what pickup you using?

  • Oh how this screams bucket head....

  • @TokyoChopSquad Hendrix..

  • @TokyoChopSquad Hendrix

  • @moopadoopolus I know Hendrix. But thats just way to obvious.

  • sick man i expected this to be shit but it was insano!

  • if youve never played through a twin before you cant appreciate how fucking loud this dude is playing. This amp is ridculously loud and dimed it will break bones.

  • You know shit's going down at 0:28

  • I'm sorry but that was fucking epic

  • Lol what happened at the end?

  • Enjoy losing your hearing at 31.

  • Hello! great tone man, i also have a twin reverb but i have some problems with his vibrations, the presence light is always on and off when i´m playing do you have any idea about how to solve this problem? thanks.

  • It makes sense to me that people who play these amps usually play in the style of Hendrix and SRV. After all, that's what these amps are designed to sound good playing, and it would make sense for someone who likes that style to own one of these amps.

  • Could this guy be THE Phil X???

  • This video made me SMILE WITH DEVIL HORNS ON!

  • im glad you do not live near me...! uwud be sampling my twin brick effect

  • I like it

But -- if i'm your neighbor, the Cops on already on their way to shut yo ass up.

  • Great tone and awesome fucking playing man.

  • Jesus Christ. Must EVERY fuckin' YouTube Fender Twin demonstrator be a Hendrix/SRV clone?

  • TWin reverb on full volume outside.. lucky man, i owned one for lik 8 years n din even put it at 2 :-(

  • Gee, I wonder who your favourite guitarist is... *coughjimihendrixcough*

  • Hendrix ain't dead, damn!

    Ear candy..

  • at the end,u sound like hendrix trying to sacrifice his guitar;p nice playin man!love the tone

  • love to be able to have a place to do the to my 67 twin - maybe I shoud move to a farm !

  • check out the new eminece reighnmaker speaker they have a built in attenuator that doesnt affect ur tone

  • I've been checking twin reverb videos for an hour now and this one is my favorite.

I totally understand why you turn it to 10 as well. We play the same style and I need my amp cranked up all the way during a gig too. I do it sneaky, if I start at 10 people ask me to turn it down, but if i start at 7 and turn it up a little after each song they dont, hehe.

I think a loud "clean" amp hits you harder then a more distorted one.

  • i have paid money for that sound. well worth it. i had to look again - i could swear you were left handed for a second.

  • we are Philip Haze's band! listen on our website!

  • i love that amp now

  • your neighbors must love you

  • @DrFee7good If i was his neighbor I would love him

  • Yeah... I gotta say, fucking outstanding tone and playing, bro!!! I have a Fender Twin Reverb (not too sure of the year, but I paid $900 for it 12 years ago and it was used), my only problem is that I never get the opportunity to dime that bitch! I get it anywhere near 10 o'clock and the windows are rattling and shakin'...Amp is freakin' LOUD!!!!!!!!!

And when playing out I am never able to get that tone out of it that you get here. Bought a Marshall "Power Brake", but still... Nice Video!!!

  • @branded72 I always try to get it to the loudest at any gig, of course they make it turn it down...but it goes up and down. I just need loud deafning behind me

  • @branded72 wish I lived next door,we would raise hell, you can tell your rippen the vidcam mic almost dies cool

  • Music to my ears =)

  • very nice sound man !

  • good playing, good tone, good amp.

  • Usually these type of videos are sterile and boring but yours was very entertaining, you were having fun and it came across to the viewer, good stuff!

  • 1:43 onwards...........biblical.

  • @SuperTouchFarside youtube.com/watch?v=jedn7E4kdvM

  • One of the best souding vid on youtube ive ever seen, nice!!!

  • True, true. I'm also going to start using "flabbage" as a tone word. Thank you haha. Cheers, and happy new year.

  • Fuck yeah!!..........what?

  • That's unfair to say, though. Twins used Utahs and Oxfords, and those sounded like crap, yes. But, vintage twins also used Jensen C12Ns and occaisionally EVM. Really dependent on what they had on hand. Judging by the sound quality of this vid, I'd say the camera mic was awful, so to make a true tone judgement is hard. From the fizz and mic distortion, you have no way of knowing the true tone. Also using the blanket Marshall statement is stupid, because, well, that's just stupid to say.

  • @TheGibbySG

Silverface Twins never had C12N's. A few Twins had optional JBLs and maybe the EVMs you mention but they are rare, and I don't think that's what we hear in the video. Yes, the handycam mic is probably awful, but that's true of most YouTube videos. You just have to factor that in when judging the tone. My statement about Marshalls is a perfectly valid general statement. Marshall used smaller cap values to manage the low end, plus sealed multi-speaker cabs to reduce flabbage.

  • Looks fun...btw,do you have your own zip code or do your neighbors just hate you?

  • Dude, I've watched this a couple times now and can't help but say that your playing is absolutely incredible. Seriously, if you started a band, you could probably change the world.

  • I have a blackface 1966 twin reverb i put a fuzz pedal but it sounds like fucking garbage! HELP?

  • @SkateTS808 what kind of fuzz? Ideally one with germanium transistors will sound best with a twin, they have a darker sound that interacts better with the twins

  • @FuzzismyBuzz dude! I bought mjm london germanuim fuzz and the pedal itself wat great but when i played it on my amp it was like a farting sound it was seriously a shit tone! Dunno why! Problably i need to change the tubes and set the bias correctly

  • @SkateTS808 .....Lower your fuzz level in the pedal, crank the preamp and mid in the amp

  • What a sloppy mess of a sound. There's a reason people use Marshalls for this kind of thing.

  • @1Doz Get the fuck off my internets, n00b.

  • @TheGibbySG

But then how could I save you from your ignorance?

  • @1Doz You mean your Marshall bandwagoning/fanboyism? Also, sarcasm doesn't translate well on the internet.

  • @TheGibbySG

Marshalls are great and Fenders are great. But the fact is that the amp in the video sounds like ass. The stock Utahs or Oxfords that they put in those amps are nice at low volumes, but by about 4 on the volume knob they start flabbing out -- well before the amp does. At 10 they're nothing but a sloppy mess. That's exactly what we hear in the video. The guy's playing is good, which helps cover it up, but he'd sound better through a different amp.

  • @1Doz Personally, I think the amp sounds phenomenal, crappy mic and all. The flabbiness/hairiness of the sound is absolutely great. Makes the amp sound like it's about to blow up, and brings another level of intensity to the playing and sound. Would it be tighter with a Marshall? Absolutely. But that's simply a different character. I happen to like this sound a lot, and I happen to like the Marshall sound a lot (I'm a Marshall owner).

  • @danakerman

Okay, I can buy that. It's flabby and out of control and bordering on meltdown, but if that's your thing then that's your thing. And I'll admit that I like that kind of tone at the right moments -- like when a song needs a solo that sounds like the apocalypse. But it's kind of a specialty sound. It's like a character actor in a movie. You (probably) wouldn't want to rely on it for your main lead tone.

  • @1Doz yes i would lol

  • ANGRY TONE!!!! You cannot beat TUBES

  • dan auerbach + hendrix. You are very talented.

  • is the fuzz before or after the wah?

  • @popomczowzow ....i cant remember, I think at that time I used the wah first to get that weird oscillation

  • @popomczowzow wahs are usually first in your pedal chain.

  • @popomczowzow wah is EVER first to be in any chain of effects, ever ever ever, no exceptions :)

  • is that your mom at the end telling you that's enough? Pretend like nothing happened ftw lol!

  • @777jordan ..my aunt, because it was at her house and she was napping

  • @PhilipHaze XD

  • @PhilipHaze Napping ? Not for long with you around, eh?

  • @PhilipHaze i thought hendrix was dead;) great playing man! is that a hendrix fuzz face or regular dallas arbriter? and im sure your aunt loved waking up to this LOL

  • Awesome playing and tone , this is real rock n roll :)!!!! Fuck shredders Hendrix and srv are da bomb !

  • Wow! Looks like fun. I sure hope you live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours. How long did it take for the cops to show up?

  • hell yeAHHHHHHH CRANK THAT SHIT

  • sorry but a cranked twin will kill a marshall lead 100. especially if you load it with 5881 tubes.

  • Fuck the neighbors! =D

  • Sounds like a cross between Stevie Ray and Hendrix. Not a bad place to live.

  • holy shit u are now an insiration to me! how long have you been playing?

  • You F***'n Rock!!!

  • REMINDS ME OF A YOUNG HENDRIX :p

Exactly what silicon fuzz is it?? And what does the rmc4 teese do?

  • Comment removed

  • These things are outrageously loud...you should probably wear ear protection, unless you want to lose your hearing entirely..

  • What year is the twin?

  • Whoa. Nice tone.

  • this is the shit man, dam fuck man

  • Thone tones the news brother..I have been wanting a fender amp for years

  • GREAT! but the hum is as loud as the notes LOL;-)

  • recently got a 73 twin, pondering to restore. question, was the overdrive I heard from the amp? I saw a wah on the floor, and a footswitch, which I am guessing is for the amp...thanks.

  • i'd like to play like that. where did you learn those hendrixy licks?

  • My ears hurt (in a good way) listening through computer speakers...

  • This is great tone!

  • thats how its done. very nice

  • hendrix?

  • lol I did this with my friends Fender vibro king amp inside his small apt, it was like I was reaching Jesus balls.

  • @iguisard possibly best simile i've ever heard.

  • THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dude this almost broke my computer haha INTENSE! i love it

  • dude that thing is like loud enough to play an arena. So unhealthy, I bet the bylaw officers were knocking on your door later.

  • great sound!!!

Wish bands today played like this...

  • @Meckipsychman I can't imagine what the neighbors where thinking

  • 0:34 ... I came..

  • Rock and Roll!...did you have earplugs in, or do you now say "huh" alot :)

  • @poeman333 I only wear earplugs when rehearsing, at gigs which I do 3 a week mostly never........sometimes I'll stick a small cotton ball in my left one, cause that has already started to bother me ( I used to gig with a jazz band, and this f#ckn trumpet player blew a high Bb note behind me, my ear ocassionally hurts since then )

  • Great tone man.

  • Great Amp and playing!

  • blues JRs are nice amps ... very nice ... i'd love to have one someday :p

  • the ending is the shit...I love fuzz pedals,I dream of them!

  • nice fuzz sound ^^

  • really great tone, fat pure tone.

did you get the sound from a pedal or is it all amp distortion?

    cheers

  • he says breaking up with A fuzz face

  • a fuzz face?

  • its a type of gain unit that ,in a nut shell, uses 2 transistors (in this case silicon) to create its gain. think hendrix because basically had one on all that time and used his volume knob to control the amount of gain. look up fuzz face on youtube. it looks likea cirle with 2 knobs and a rubber matt with its bypass switch in the middle. or watch basically any hendrix video.

  • coughlintm: Aha, thought it maby was a pedal that cranked the tubes in the twin, but now i know, thanks.

PhilipHaze: Hehe i know, thanks for answer though ^^ fuzz is really nice

  • the fuzz face is a Fuzz pedal.... different than an overdrive and not a distortion pedal...it's a fuzz..

  • @PhilipHaze, Doesnt it sound very buzzy and muddy when playing rhythm tho?

  • yeah, dirty and greasy =) ME LIKEs IT

  • @PhilipHaze :D

  • @PhilipHaze, how would you think would sound with a distortion pedal? :D

  • I know ,but I didn't want to describe what what a fuzz face was to puckpuckis by saying it is a fuzz because obviously he wouldn't know. Basically a gain unit is the best way to discribe a fuzz other than saying a fuzz.

  • props

  • I wish stuff like this would be put up instead of some asshole doing a 'review.' I mean, what we really want is good playing and a chance to hear the TONE.

  • I first saw this video a year ago and its still fucking sick. Right on!!

  • wow . that was INTENSE!!

  • Hardcore. That's the way to do it! :D

  • This is soo badass

  • you are fucking enjoying bastardd, GG

  • Gotta love it 1:33

Souds like a beast being unleashed

    FUCKING ROCK N ROLL

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • Wow...wow. Made my day.

  • SWEEEET... a SMOKIN TWIN...!

  • Way to go man!!! You're living the melody~!

  • That tone is orgasmic

I'm also suprised the cops didn't show up.

  • Words can't express how incredible that sounds. That sound is the definition of psychedelic rock.

  • monster
