I didn't see the game, just heard about the brawl.... what is the reason behind the fight that made it more justified than the NFL dispute between the coaches (Not that either were justified)? Generally speaking, I think taking an altercation to a physical level should always be the last straw once all other measures are exhausted but never when you're going to school on scholarship and representing a university. Regardless of the color of the players a fight like that has no place in the game. A little pushing and shoving is normal but a full on brawl is not. And their reason for fighting is no better then that of Jim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz. Also, the only reason for this fight being publicized is the 41 suspensions from this game.

But you're wrong about something. the UAPB-Southern postgame fight was a headline grabber not because there were HBCU teams involved, but because 41 players ended up getting suspended at least one game. If a fight broke out at Michigan, Texas, BYU, etc. it would get massive coverage. this isn't a skin color issue, but a football one.
