Did you watch The History Of Football documentary on BBC 1? It showed the origin of song singing. It all started to take off in the 1960s, when Liverpool had many famous bands (example: The Beatles) and it also showed how You'll Never Walk Alone is infact Liverpool's song and not officially Celtic's. You even copy Liverpool's Athenry chant. I am from Manchester and I can say that Liverpool fans are much louder and much more passionate. Liverpool started this and even invented the casual look.
