I can turn on my toeside no problem at all, but everytime i try on my heel side..... i end up up my butt :( i've only been learning for 3 weeks, but it's getting frustrating that i have to turn on my toeside all the way to a stop.... then reverse the other way and go back on my toeside rather than have a fluent toe... heel...toe.... heel :(

those aren't carved turns... they're called skidded turns. This seems to be a huge misconception among riders.

@waabababab123 The weight distribution is should be the same but only for the beginner turn. The maneuvers are extremely different. While the riders feet are doing the opposite motions, at the same time. Snowboarding your feet do the same motion, in sequence at different times. Front foot goes flat...pause...back foot goes flat...pause...front toe goes up...pause back toe goes up...pause...front foot goes flat repeat

Those were more skidded turns, you need a lot more space to carve because of the speed you're going to pick up. I'm guessing they had to stay close, like most of her video's to pick up the audio.

everytime i try to carve toeside while going fast down a mountain i keep catching a edge and wiping out. heel side is easy but dunno why toe is such a problem.

@icedsnapple I found when I had this problem is its all about the transition. Otherwise when you catch and edge you try to turn when the board is flat. I have found that when you want to make a turn get on the correct edge of your board in and out. Dont start with the board flat. Hope that helps. it works for me at least

When you are on your toe edge be sure to lean "up" the hill. The reason why you are wiping out is probably because you don't have enough weight on your toe edge IE, you are not leaning up the mountain enough. It may feel uncomfortable, but make sure you really lean into your toe side turns, this should keeep you from catching an edge.
