  • For all the shocking things in this movie and the manga, if I had to say that there was one thing that hammered the point of this movie home, it's 8:35 - 8:54

  • xcuse me but...he survived only by bending topick up his rock?¿

  • @cloudani he was hidden behind a wall of rock, what melted people away was not the explosion wave per se, but the initial light of the bomb exploding. The wave pushed them away and destroyed everything, but the heat of the light hitting directly on them was what rendered them to chunks of charcoal or faint outlines in the pavement. Gen survived because he wasn't hit directly by the heat and light.

  • So What Happen Gen's Father,Sister And little Brother

  • @Laura123456789012 They burn to death :(

  • @Laura123456789012 They are burned to death of course!

  • ok so i get that people would be scarred/ wounded in the aftermath but am i the only one who thinks that the first living people gen saw looked like zombies?

  • if this film urges you to hate an entire nation then know you are planting the same bad seed in your heart that creates wars .humans are weak creatures that can cooperate to live happily this short time on earth. planting joy in somebody's heart is priceless as planting hate. I observed many hatred comments towards USA & Japan, and this is not what i hoped or desired to come out as a result of showing this film. long live to the people of USA & Japan & all earth.

  • ''Nanking,nanking,nanking''blahblahblah

the us didnt care for what happened back there

the only thing they cared about was pearl harbor and they nuked two cities with little to no factories or military bases

just to scare japan for that

so stop fucking countering everything with it

    approximately 250k men,children and women

    for 2,4k soldiers

    nice fucking work there

i hope y'all proud of yerselves

  • @RE141095 Yes, because not only are we all our government, but we are all DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE.

Dude, you sound incredibly ignorant. Shut up.

  • If only the urban legend of Ju-On was real, then the American Government would have thousands of angry Japanese spirits hunting them down.

  • When your in an atomic bomb blast and you manage to survive the initial explosion, you'll be sure to die a slow death from the radiation.

  • I want to cry SO badly but i think i've cried so mant times on this one video that i can't any more **sees shinji crying for help** (busts out into tears)

  • Be not in the thing that either is bad, and do not use an atomic bomb. This bomb that originates heat ray is an especially cruel slaughter arms. It is not possible to see because it is too sad to the last minute.

  • Thats so fucking sad :(

  • Hirohito (as well as Hitler and Mussolini) were madmen. What their armies did to innocent people was wrong...everyone

    Was wrong...

  • Oh. My. God. I just crawled into bed with my little brother and sister.

  • its like looking at hell

  • I want to crawl in a hole right now. I'm so ashamed of what we did :'(

  • there being exspose to radition

  • were there actually zombies O.o

  • @Dmen555

They were severely burned. It was difficult for them to walk normally due to the pain, hence the zombie-like walk.

  • It's nice to see a beautiful moment come out of history's darkest time.

  • we canot chage history all we can do is make it and we havent used the bomb scrnce ww2

  • @julienne910 Never again I hope, for the sake of all mankind. Our generations should learn lessons from the war.

  • No if Japan has done something that it denies, that isn't important or has nothing to do with America dropping an atomic bomb, it doesn't serve any purpose to make that point other than deflecting the criticism of America for what it has done to Japan.

  • @Darckcloud73 Without the bombs, the casualties would have been higher. Hirohito was starving his own people and was using up the remaining resources. Not to mention the all of the US soldiers who would have been slain. I see a lot of these videos and they do tend to bash the US and they act is if their country has done no wrong. Thats why I brought up Nanking. Everyone had dirt and blood on their hands.

  • 0:20 Imagine being a survivor and seeing people's skin, and face melt off in front of you. That must've been a haunting sight.

  • SADDEST MOVIE I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE OMFG :'(

  • sad

    fuck wars

  • i did'nt expect to but i cried like a bay during this part especialy when shinji was crying for help.

  • That baby must've heard the bomb and decided to get the hell out

but to have a child on the day the others died is so bittersweet

  • @jojokimera1 Like I Didn't Know What You Just Said -.-

  • An American is desperate to let you justify one's bloodbath.

  • Godzilla Begins!

  • okay, so im american and i understand what the japanese had done during ww2..... but you just have to shed a tear for the victims for what they had to go through.

  • we belive the undeads

  • America had to bomb japan, more American soldiers would have been lost then the people who died in the initial blast and the aftershock

  • @MRresievil310 Japan would surrender with or withoud the bombing

  • @ImperialGuard9001 They would not, we would have to do a massive invasion on their home islands, resulting with many many many more deaths. Any non biased historian would say the bombs were the right hcoice.

  • @gbatemper123 They did not figth to the end in China 1945, the japanese forces just surrender in big numbers at that time and the higt ranking officers to, the war was then over for Japan and it had nothing to do with the bombs and there are no facts that Japan would do a "last stand" at their mainland the japanese surrender in China and the attitude among japanese higt ranked officers at that time proved just that

  • @MRresievil310 America's entrance in the pacific war was not a fatality, it was a calculated choice. Japan never came to mainland USA to bomb cities like NY with incendiary bombs or atomic bombs. The USA to this day is the one country that gets away with invading countries and killing millions (Iraq), leaving radioactive contamination behind (Falluja, worse than Hiroshima), and breaking the Geneva convention. Why? Because it can. It has more WMD than anyone else combined.

  • "I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies!"

  • O_O the mom is fucking crazy

she was loling at her family burning alive wtf

  • @NinjaFreak626 it's not that she was laughing. it's that she was hysterical. so much so that she didn't know how to react at her own family stuck in debris and burning alive

  • @boredstudent i know that, i was just making a big scene of it :3

  • This is fucking madness!!!

  • "Kimei, you're talking like a fool."

  • It´s said that the bomb was dropped because Japan didn´t wanted to loose, and they didnt stop the war. USA had to do something. They ended up throwing the bomb =P

  • Wait wtf none of them suffocated from the fire?

  • Trauma caused her give birth!

  • Why doesn't some people like the video

  • @huggison maybe because it's gruesome???

  • thank you USA for killing innocent people.

  • Omg, the mom went, like, nuts for a moment there O~o

  • wonder how the mother survived falling of the balcony without having miscarriage. i guess analyzing too deeply isint the point in here

  • I actually Dropped à tear here :,(

    Its really sad

  • World War II was pretty bad, huh?

  • did you know that soon after the bomb it began to rain so the thirsty hot people tried to drink the rain but it juts killed more because the rain was radioactive

  • fall-out rain...get the fuck out, its fall-out rain!

Oh god. This is another one for my list of films to show my children...to teach them what their own mother's words couldn't.

  • @Treemeadow what does that mean you don't believe the fallout rain?

  • @saigotakahashi What?

No, it means they need to get out of the rain, its dangerous.

  • @Treemeadow but they wouldt know it was fallout rain and where would they shelter from it under burning heaps of wreckage????

  • @saigotakahashi ...

I was making a rhetorical statement. Just a comment, have you never wanted to tell ppl on TV things? I do. I know they don't know.

Just as I know a victim in a horror film won't listen to me when I say "Run away!"

  • who the fuck doesn't need a doctor?

  • 0:20 In most documentaries of this... the Nuke explosion was hot fry of evapourate a person!! how can they still be able to walk?? unless this was the authors creation

  • @Condom007of007Solace in most documentaries US shows people what they want to see - that dead died an instant, peaceful death. They don't want you to know that so many thousands of people died in agony from massive burns, blind and having their skin and meat hanging by their bones, in constant pain and agony until their death from bleed thirst some 12 hours later...... Go US, you were right, it was war.... bake them well...and bake them again and again if needed.... murderers...

  • @Condom007of007Solace I agree, but remember that many people didn't die by the explosion or the shockwave, and they were seriously burned. Search Sumiteru Taniguchi's photos for more information.

  • @C7H042 omg i thought its a nuke! an explosion either burns or rips apart an object... so you are telling me that nuclear bomb wasnt that powerful at all?

  • @Condom007of007Solace Er... I think I didn't explained it well. Then, here I go again:

Many people weren't into the "high damage radius" of the explosion, but they were into the "hot zone", it means, the area where the air heated without a fire. Then, that people didn't die because the fireball or the shockwave, but they suffered several burnings.

I'm sorry if my explanation is bad, but I didn't find terms to do it. Thanks!

  • @Condom007of007Solace they are now. That was the FIRST bomb

  • Fuck the human race, seriously. I sincerely hope there is intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe, because there's diddly squat of it down here.

  • @ancalites I so agree I am a human as well, but look at all the agony we create in this world.

  • i mean 4:21 higurashi? x3

  • 10:01 higurashi? x3

  • This is terribly subbed.

  • @Dnguyen1319 I agree, it's subbed as "No! I won't! Never!" when she is just saying their names 0_o

  • @princessiero2 Yeaaah but you gotta realize, these were the days before huge mobbing japanese fandom, just low-profiled anime likers

  • I can't immagine the aggony for those poor people who didn't get lucky enough to die straight away. The bomb was just inhumane. Nothing like that should ever have happened. Japan had tried to surrender several times, so long as the emperor wasn't touched, but no, that wasn't good enough, instead this had to happen.

  • This is a true story.

    Japanese all know this tragedy.

  • Not ghosts. Not yet. Wish we didn't have to drop the bomb.

  • why can't i watch part 4??

  • i downloaded it again

    watch?v=R33-abMIkIM&feature=related

  • film ini mengingatkan saya pada baso...kenapa amerika begitu pengecut seperti tangkil? kenapa mereka selalu berperang dengan kekuatan yg tidak berimbang? sampai sekarang pun begitu...mereka takut kalau berperang secara adil...dasar budak yahudi...

  • Ok, I kinda wept hearing Shinji dying in the fire.

  • america would have lost hundreds of thousands on an invasion in japan, america are still cowards and can just piss off.

  • How he survived scratched is amazing

  • I'm sorry, unscratched

  • What America did there is a crime against the world and human life. 200.000 people vanished... Their shadows burned to the asphalt.

  • no we got vengence for Pear Harbor before the two fission bombs were dropped when we sent our bombing raids agaisnst japans industrial zones

  • Pearl Habor was a legitimate military target.

However, Japanese war crimes in asia are perhaps the worst in human history.

Medical torture in Unit 731. The Rape of Nanking....the list goes on. How the Japanese treated prisoners is directly related to Japanese culture. Oh, and the mass civilian suicides at Okinawa--you brainwashed them.

The crime wasn't nuking japan, what was criminal was your own fucked up culture, and fucked up government at the time.

  • All war crimes are despicable. the nuking of Hiroshima was an atrocious act forever remembered in history.

Japan's empirical ambitions was also both inhumane and unjust

  • Wrong.

Saying a culture is fucked up, or saying a culture committed the worst was crimes in history is solely your opinion. Your opinion in no way justifies anything. There are no text books that say Japan was the enemy because their culture was completely unacceptable and they are the least favorable of all the countries.

  • @jerm11187 Well, you saying I'm wrong is also an opinion. You're not a scholar either. So...yeah.

  • Heres another one for you, and im sure most people will agree. An opinion based on reasoning is far more credible than an opinion based on hate.

  • "The crime wasn't nuking japan, what was criminal was your own fucked up culture, and fucked up government at the time." -SparkamusPryme

You've got it mixed up. You are the one posting angry and hateful comments remember? Pwned. End of discussion.

  • Comment removed

  • @DoktorAlanGrant

He clearly says "was your own fucked up culture". SparkamusPryme is referring to the Japanese culture. Whether he said at the time, back then, or right now. It is still a statement said with anger and negative feelings. To put it in your own words, it is very much intrinsic and is absolutely related. You would have to be blind or really dense to not see that.

  • I dont know where you got hatred toward Japanese people. Nowhere in my responses did I say anything about that. Of course if you were involved with the discussion from the start you would know that.

As for building strawmen. SparkamusPryme wrote a pretty harsh comment on a video about very sensitive topics. Losing loved ones, the aftermath of the bombing, innocent lives being taken. Dont tell me he didnt expect anyone to say anything back, he said it so that someone would respond to him.

  • Lastly I was responding to his negative opinion. When you are talking to someone about their opinion there is no reason to pull out dates. I figured you probably wouldnt understand that though so here is an example.

I say "I think cheesecake is gross." (opinion, keep with me now)

I then say "Later on in 1912, James Kraft invented a form of this cream cheese, but pasteurized it- this is now the most commonly used cheese for cheesecake." (time and date. You still with me?)

  • Hope a bombe kill you and all your existense

    MOTHER FUCKER!

    End of discussion

  • @davjoc but can you imagine if America invaded Japan. There would have been more dead

  • @78bobob Yes, Operation downfall commences if they didnt surrender

    Operation Downfall Involves

    7 atomic Bombs

invasions from U.s and europe without nuclear equipment

    Casulties for both

  • oh my gosh

I always cry at this part.

  • America is fuking shit

  • America is what??? Let's not forget why America got into the war in the first place. I don't agree with what America did, but I don't agree with what the Japanese did either. And I think that was the point of the Writer of this comic book/movie

  • @Darckcloud73 Well if I recall correctly, Japan didn't attack cities, like LA or NY or whatever. Pearl Harbor was a military base.

  • @llanos2 Well, we are not trying to say what Japan did was fine, but since we were he first to ever drop an atomic bomb we had no idea what the ramifications would be. Japan had generations of problems from this bomb. Pearl Harbor was tragic, but, it was done in one day. There was no lasting affect like what happened in Japan. So use any excuse you'd like, but what we did was way worst.

  • @Darckcloud73 Nanking massacre was worse than our bombs. And Japan completely DENIES it and won't even teach it in their schools.

  • @DeadSleepers. Our elected officials claim they are doing it for our safety, but we have never had a foreign war fought on American soil so we have no idea how devastating that can be for future generations. Japan still have children being born with birth defects because of the two bombs that we detonated in their country by America. How does what Japan did to the chinese in 1937 make what we did to Japan in 1945

  • @Darckcloud73 The casualties would have been higher however without the bombs. Hirohito was willing to starve his own people to win and we would've lost what was estimated to thousands of soldiers. Yes, there are both Japanese and American historians who agree on this. It took 2 bombs to get Hirohito to surrender..one just wasn't enough in his eyes so he decided to continue. What Japan did in Nanking was a mindless slaughter. They STILL lie about it. They easily wiped out generations of people.

  • @DeadSleepers I looked up the Nanking Massacre because I had no idea about it, but I can't se the relevance in this case. Yes it is devastaating what was done to the chinese people at that time and I am not taking it lightly. But that doesn't justify what we did to the Japanese people. The problem with war is innocent people suffer while government reaps the rewards

  • @Darckcloud73 I understand. What Im saying is the US as a whole acknowledges what was done to Hiroshima and Nagasaki..we know that the US is responsible for those 2 bombs. But at the same time, Japan will not even acknowledge nor even teach their youth about Nanking.

  • @DeadSleepers I understand what you are trying to say, that's an entire different issue. The fact that Japan does not acknowledge what they have done to the Chinese people is of no relevance to what we are talking about, or the point I was making. People tend to bring up other points of criticism to side track or defend against a point that is being made

  • @llanos2 They attacked other cities in Asia, the Japanese military was notoriously cruel to conquered people. Not that this makes the bombing of Hiroshima right, that is absolutely abhorrent but the Japanese were NOT angels by any means. Not at all.

  • if we didnt bomb japan now im not saying what we did was right much more people would have died and once agian im not saying what we did was right

  • what the hell is with the eyeballs?

  • 20% of the Korean emigrates to the foreign countries.

The reason is because human cannot live in Korea.

  • what a bastard thing to do....and we never really learn either.

  • I grew up in Korea, where people were saying "we never even invaded anyone. All we did was to try to protect ourselves and Japan is always trying to kill us. They come in ships and pirate our coasts, killing the innocent fishermen and raping the women. And in WW2, they even made rape legal in their armies and test Koreans alive for experiments. They froze people alive and replaced intestines with those of animals' to see if they died.

We never forget what you did in WW2."

  • The only people who are innocent in a war are the citizens who try to take care of their families just like everyone else. Regardless of what nationality you are, people just want to raise their families and educate them. Politicians are the problem, since they seem to use our militaries for their own gain. They may say it's in the name of keeping thier country safe, but there always seem to be some other motivation for going to war.

  • the problem arent even the vile politicians, but the retarded masses following them

  • @Darckcloud73 Correct!

  • Korean is a liar the most in the world.

Japan doubled the population of Korean in the 20th century.

The Foreign Minister of Japan when World War II starts is Korean.

Japan gave the vote to a Korean in Japan, and there were a lot of Korean assembly members in Japan.

Korean has the habit of the imputation of their own evil doings to Japan.

    Korean kills Korean

  • People like jeffyuuta there need to reorganize their thoughts to include more perspectives. Gen's father says its the governments that wrong, and in beginning of this film, it is cleary stated that Japan attacked the Pearl Harbor "thereby" causing the war. Its not as easy as "goddam America we won't forget your atrocities."

  • If some of you thought "fucking America Japan's the victom here!", than you did not get the message right. What this film blames is the Japanese Government at that time, although it is true that the nuclear bomb was an unforgivable fact. What I'm trying to say is that ALL countries were at fault in that war. America dropped the bomb and killed civilians, Japan RAPED and tested humans ALIVE.

  • fuck off USA! bastards

  • eh.. What about killings in China?

Also What about the Bio-Chemical Testing lab unit of 731?

  • This movis should be required for all children to watch in every country. When I saw this film it was shocking because most people don't really think about the affects and after affects from a war. The media in this country(USA) limits what we see and paints a very polished and clean picture of what a war really is. Maybe if people see what happens to the innocent countrymen of a country at war, they wouldn't be so quick to want to run and kill someone under the disguise of fighting for freedom

  • part4 you must see in eng.

  • WTF why did someone flag part 4! A-holes!

  • im from america and we had to watch this in school.we could understand it though because my class is in a japanese immersion program .

  • What I want to say is one. should? become like this by your family,

  • Are even neither the telephone nor the protested freedom profit being given to US citizen? Please think that staying up in the United States now becomes like this work. A civilian today actually pays the government the considerable amount of taxpayers' money, pays FRB the interest, arms hugely, and the civilian loses the money having the right with the child. Are you good as it is?

  • Do you know the Hull note? And, do you know the first history of Japan?

Was Japan invaded though the United States had not been invaded why?If person of color kind colony is liberated why, is it useless? The Japanese did not have a little person as really bad as this work ahead. Person's humanity has changed into the United States relations now.

  • Is the American seen this and is not the heart pained?

  • No.

  • Though the Japanese, the American, and Iraqi are same men. The beelzebub lives in the United States.

  • Modern Iraq

  • Iraq doesn't have mutant zombies and death rain.

  • omg. OMG OMG! if you play electric funeral at the same time this video begins and you turn the volume off on the video it like fits in perfectly. its like that thing that happens with the wizard of oz and dark side of the moon.

whoa, i feel like i discovered something.

  • where missing part 4

  • Totally agree with you.

  • Hm...This has nothing of value to contribute, but why isn't Barefoot gen 4 available to my country, when all the others seem to be?

  • That's the part where the bomb is dropped, and everyone's eyeballs pop out as their skin melt.

  • Censorship?
