War Crimes were in fact commited.

Even the UN in Gaza was not spared 'collateral damage' ?!

There is no need for an investigation into the matter as this would be merely an exercise in protocol, as the perpetrators are accountable to no one. Indeed, all that could come of it may be some expressed outcry or formal condemnation. Not really of any tangible benefit.

Documentation of the atrocities however is critical for the historical record, lest the facts pass into oblivion.
