  • One incorrect comment right at the end of the video: "Satan didn't do anything to Job, in fact it was God who did". Satan was the instigator of all the problems Job had. I would encourage those watching this video to not be in the same error as the speaker, and read the book of Job by themselves.

  • The King James Bible is an accurate translation!!

  • why would I believe that a god does exist? He never does anything. Children starve to death every day. Innocent people get hurt. And what the bible says doesn't make any sense, unless you first realize that it was written by people long ago who knew nothing about science and natural phenomena. In the light of our scientific knowledge, a belief in god just isn't plausible, at least, not to me.

  • @8698gil God is great, God is good and God allows suffering for a reason. To help his people to realize that this is a fallen world due to the constant bickering between God and Satan. If you let him, Satan will cause all sorts of problems for you,, he is the ultimate liar who wants you to go with him. God is forever working on situations in people's lives.. and everything we see in it is part of his ultimate plan for peace. Stop arguing about if he exists.

  • @Jantv81 It's that kind of thinking that allows you to rationalize all the suffering in the world. It's god's plan. Well, he's had a couple of thousand years and still hasn't done anything worthwhile. The whole concept of god and satan is for people who are unable to grow up and take responsibility for their own lives.

  • I watch these videos because its interesting to find out where all these ancient superstitious myths and religions got started. God and satan don't exist. They are ideas created by man at a time when he had no explanation for the natural world, and people today still cling to these beliefs because they are afraid to die. They would rather believe they are somehow special instead of what they are, just another species on planet earth.

  • @8698gil i am sorry but your wrong... what makes you think that god does not exist

  • @8698gil ......Hello, just finished reading your comment..I believe that YOU believe there is a GOD. For if you REALLY believed there is no GOD. You wouldn't even bother arguing about it. The real question is why are you REALLY focusing on this? Ask yourself what is the real motive and what truth are you seeking?. Do you want truth?? Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

  • @amongoy And you would be wrong. I had a baby girl who died 20 years ago. Never baptized her, and I don't think she's in heaven, either. Or hell. I didn't even have a christian service. Just buried her. My pain was in her suffering before her death, not after. There is nothing after.

  • @amongoy And to add to that, in 2004 my mother died. In 2006 my younger sister committed suicide. My father died in 2007. My sister left me a letter, she shared my views, and didn't want a religious service. But I knew my parents would have wanted to be buried in the church, and since I was responsible for making the funeral arrangements for every member of my family, I complied with their wishes and gave them a christian burial because of their wishes, not mine.

  • @8698gil sorry, did I make that clear? My sister was NOT given a christian burial, but my parents were. I do believe in honoring people's wishes. I've told my husband many times that I do not want a christian burial.

  • @8698gil When man can explain how the universe was created...then I'll listen. Until then, I'll believe the best explanation.

  • @8698gil Ignorance on your part is superiorly unattractive. God is REAL... can you explain air to me?

  • he said that satan made his first appearnece in the holy scriptures in the book of job? What about Genesis or Jubilees?

  • GOD always forbid me to join any church. And thinking on it, I don't remember any stories of anyone who did that was ever healed and made whole again.

  • Also another deception detected I can see. "There is no description of hell being a place of torment." I believe the Bible says hell has "Fire and brimstone" "Lake of fire"

Fire that can't be put out. The lies are so blunt in this video it's right in your face!

  • @upinfection Hell is not the lake of fire and brimstone..that whcih you speak of is the second death..and hell and death will be thrown into the second after..the sea, death and hell give up the dead so, that they may enter judgement as well..and anyone who's name is not found in the lamb's book of life will be thrown into the second death.

  • @upinfection have you read luke 16: 23, 24, 28

  • I detect deception in this video. Notice at the end about Job where the guy says "It wasn't satan doing this to Job it was God."? So now it was God who killed his family killed his cattle and caused illness to him now is it? God let it happen to him and now what did God do at the end of all that mess someone tell me? Perhaps an atheist will explain this very well to me or an muslim from islam because they would know the answer right? Jump in anyone! (-_-)

  • @upinfection God actually enabled satan to test job to see if job would curse god......

  • @mygodisgood94 Yes but did God actually cause the horrible things to happen to him? Say it for everyone to see please so they will know. I'm sick of this. You can't even type in Christianity on youtube and find Christian videos. It's all "And I'm a morman" ads and "atheism vs Christianity" catholicism which has nothing to do with Christianity by the way for anyone reading this. (-_-)

  • @upinfection Yes in a way he did.... but he did it to test him that is the main thing you have to understand.

  • @mygodisgood94 Small correction...God enabled satan to test Job to show satan that Job would NOT curse Him. :D Amen

  • They need to bring this back, check out my E.O.D playlist, it has more than just gospel everyone can relate to and understand and enjoy.

  • Proverbs 7:27 says the house of the adulteress " is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death." Proverbs 15:24 says..." The way of life is ABOVE to the wise, that HE MAY DEPART FROM HELL BENEATH." meaning wise people avoid hell, the place of eternal punishment. Deuteronomy 32:22 says God's anger has kindled A FIRE which burns to the lowest HELL, implying THERE IS FIRE IN HELL. When Jesus came, he confirmed in Luke 16:20-31 that HELL is a place burning with fire where sinners burn.

  • The Hebrew Bible, which consists only of the Old Testament does indicate that hell is a place of punishment for evil-doers. Psalm 9:17 says..." The wicked shall be turned into HELL, and all the nations that forget God." Again Psalm 55:15 says..."Let death seize them, and let them go down quick into HELL :for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them." Isaiah 14:15 tells us the devil Lucifer shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. ....continue

  • The bible is very clear about what is hell and what happens when a sinner goes there. Jesus in Luke 16:20-31 tells us the rich man who went to hell was tormented by the flames of hell. The beggar Lazarus didn't go to hell but was brought by the angels to a place called Abraham's Bosom which was separated from hell by a chasm. If Jesus Christ, the Son of God has already clearly warned mankind to avoid hell, who is man to say it doesn't exist? Only a fool would believe it doesn't exist.

  • It was a good program. I like how it's put together. But some of the information is inaccurate :)

  • @phil8888 which part is inaccurate?

  • @casperonian how they present purgatory as some afterthought that the church just came up with. in fact, to this day orthodox Jews still believe in a place like purgatory. Plus, they make it sound like purgatory is a "second chance" which Catholics do not believe.

  • @phil8888 I see. Thanks for the explanation! Good to know the right version of the story.

  • I have always loved this series from A&E. I have loved the narration by Richard Kiley and Jean Simmons. This was one of the very best programs ever to air on A&E. Period!
