many years ago i accompanied (as cellist) my schools honor choir for this song... from my music i wasn't expecting much... but when i heard their singing, it took my breath away. this is a beautiful recording... (perhaps the best on youtube!). thank you for posting..
Ty - Our son was the clarinet in a similar performace at Dreyfoos School Of the Arts in West Palm Beach about 7 years ago - it was a real honor - this is the most beautiful musical piece on the planet - He is in Israel today andI have just sent this to him. I hope this recording is picked up by a huge recording company. It should be. :)
@ihlubbinnies Yah Im glad you approve of it! ^^ This will always be a great memory for me... from the enviroment to all the wonderfuly talented men & women. I have always loved this song... brought down the house ^^ as you can tell by the audience at the end! ^^ Thanks for stopping by! ^^
I love this song.We had to do it for our chorus class, both girls and guys.I found this song to sound beautiful, and I always got goosebumps when singing it because of how it sounded.I really wish we could sing it again.
I do not like this rendition. Sorry, just my opinion. I feel this song is a happy, quick, lively Israeli folk song about the coming new year and the kids playing in the garden. Listen to Steve and Eydie sing this. This should not be interpreted as a slow, ponderous, "spiritual" or classical piece. Would this choir do the same treatment to "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" or "Dixie"?????
@buddmar well i respect your opinion! i have never heard of steve and eydie...but i will look them up! I have never heard this song in All my choir years to be a happy song... so this was normal for me to hear! But i think the best part of interpretations is that it is just that.... an interpretation of someone else's vision... ! & lol...yes im pretty sure they would try to make those two different as well! Thanks for stopping by!

Omg. I love this version. This is the best version I've heard in YT. I love the full sounds of the men's voices. <3 It's a perfect tempo too imo.
