please help me i went to linux and downloaded it and burned it to a disk and the i rebooted my computer to try to make it work but it just wouldn't what do i do?
@joshuarocks102 It's been a month since you ve posted it but who cares. Go to BIOS and set your CD/DVD drive to have priority while starting the computer.Save settings. Your operating system will be inicjated. Insert the disc into the drive and reboot.
Is the full Linux mint 8 Helena really only £3.99(GBP)? Also am I able to keep my windows vista stuff (I am thinking about upgrading) Like, Microsfot word, microsfot excell, e.t.c. Files that I have made on it. And also is iTunes going to work on it?
Yeah the same with me, I love Linux Mint alot but I also prefer Ubuntu cause it has a bigger software community, I know u can get the software in the Ubuntu repository for Mint but I like the software manager for Ubuntu, Mint should have it where the Ubuntu respositories show up in their software manager so theres more software.
I'm running it without problems on a low-spec machine, and the folks over at the linux mint forums report that there are fewer bugs than 9.10 - even though that is what Mint 8 is based from.
no they fixed all teh kkoala bugs. thast why i love linuxmint .. they wait a month after ubuntu's release to fix all teh bugs and repackage it bug free.
@DistroTV Are this Linux Debian or Ubuntu based?

These are, however, anecdotal.
