It sucks that kids now will never have the same experience we had. Going to a record store and buying an album, rushing home to listen to it. The smell, being able to open the booklet ect... I miss the 90's!!!
Man WTF am I the only one who knows this is a remake? I'm pissed off I can't remember who did it right now, okay well I know I'm not alone even if most people on you tube are like that's the only way they know music is you tube, This is a remake and I want to hear the original...
I'm a teenage girl growing up in this decade, and I love STP. You can't say all teenagers today don't have good taste in alternative rock and grunge/post-grunge.
Watching this makes you realize: once upon a time bands sounded GOOD live. Today's 'musicians' give live shows bad names. Thank GOD for the nice people who share videos like this one.
Hey, if all the Stone Temple Pilots fans here can take 5 seconds worth of spam, I'm here to, shamelessly, self promote our new band Overshadowed. We just got our demo done, and I'm simply here to say that STP is one of our biggest collective influences and favorite bands, along with all the other greats out of the 90's!
Not here to spread bullshit or spam, just looking for support as a starting out act from people who know what real music is. Feel free to leave a comment, and thanks!
I was 17 when I graduated high school in 1990. I'm soooo glad that I was a part of this era. I'm 38 now and I owe it all to these guys and this genre of music to still be ripping on the guitar and still enjoying it
You know....we always hear "saving the best for last"....the early to mid 90s owned absolutely some of the best music of all time....could it be that everything else to come out won't be able to hold a candle to this amazing, but brief, era? Time can only tell....
@Stryder94 my nephews name is stryder, yeah i had alot of pain in my childhood and i was an outkast so ive had multiple meanings to the songs as i came of age~ add me as a friend bro~ Later~
@KalimeroVFX if you listen to the drums and lyrics for the beats in the chorus it gets pretty long and mixed... depending on whether you're counting quarters, eighths, or just feeling the "strongest" accents, you could say all kinds of 9/4, etc... or just keep it 3/4 throughout and it lines up...hehe...
@obskuriteter shhh man, then it must be buried 15 feet underground because before the 90's you could find it on cable tv. Now it lives online in the collective memories of posted pixelated videos.
@matsuyamati Not for long. You'll be seeing me in the next few years. Wouldn't it be nice if we had freaking guitar solos along with awesome lyrics again? I'll have to rescue my generation from power chord only guitar work and poser filled hip hop. Look out! Real music coming in!
hey...saw them last night in Ct. Meat Puppets were amazing despite not seeming to be happy to be there. STP-spot on as always. Studio perfection in a live performance. Don't know how they do it...thankful they do
Sweet . I'm so glad that STP (like Nirvana) is out to promote the good stuff. Yeah, they come off sulky sometimes which is adorable in a weird way " I took a long drink of some kind of water that ate up my feelings and dried up my conscience" :)
( See a 185 Puppet videos in a playlist at my channel )
What an awesome song. STP was so awesome at one time. It's too bad to see what heroin does to someone. The first two albums were unbelievable but after that it was hard to get into anything else because much of it didn't make any sense. STP is still one of my all-time favorites!
how come scott just couldnt have stayed the same he fucked up his face and body with that stupid drug he likes soo much,i bet he would have looked the same way he does here but just older
To anyone whos been addicted to anything knows that yes its a shame that he went down that road. But at least he's trying to battle his demons and I hope the best for him.
Do you know whats going on with him nowadays? Hope he's doing ok. Some poeple already thought he'd be the next one "to go" after Layne, but thankfully no.
right... im a big fan of stone temle pilots, and that was a big problem for him since the beginning... but after all, he is scott weiland no matter how hes looking...and i hope he will live many years, maybe with his sickness or not...he will live forever...
I think that what templedown was trying to say is the fact that back in the day Scott looked "healthier" or more fuck it! I'll say it too... MORE HUMAN!..Scott is in love with himself! and along with his self-admiration he lost who he was in a way! He lost a lot of weight! and looks very plastic these days! he has had a lot of plastic work! I think, as with a lot of addicts, Scott has an addictive personality! In that he got addicted to Looking Hollywood!
