On the "Genesis Movement" page there is a DVD titled "Live in Montreal". The songlist is the following:
Montreal - 20-Apr-74 - Watcher Of The Skies / Dancing With The Moonlit Knight / The Cinema Show / I Know What I Like / Firth Of Fifth / The Musical Box / More Fool Me / The Battle Of Epping Forest / Supper's Ready (71 mins)
@MrKayley10 If it's from GEN-MOVE it is NO FAKE. I couldn't find the exact DVD you mention (pls message me with page URL), but there IS one (at least) DVD that has all the songs you listed:
"Montreal '74 (DVD) (BTC 048)" [It also has footage from a Turin concert.]
My video contains only the video footage that is most well known all over the Internet when you do a search for it. I will take the word "(COMPLETE" out of my video title.
cool beans, another Genesis gig on youtube, especially if 'I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)' is on the set list.....Peter Gabriel and co rocks the entire world...cup of coffee and Genesis does mix after all :)
@sgrotke I don't have it. The only footage I know about is this clip provided by the YouTube user "Queen of Genesis" --- "magog64": youtube.com/watch?v=a8jBId7gm00 . The only other clue you can get here is if you read the Comments, people mention other concert dates/venues like "Drury Lane". Have you also tried (I did) typing "supper's ready gabriel flies" into Google? Some leads show up that way.
Thank you for uploading. Incredible show and sound-quality on this video! I think it's good that you aren't charging money for this like that asshole who tries to sell this. It's awesome that this isn't edited, just 27 minutes of god-like musicianship.
@zeldahei Glad to hear your opinion. I'm glad you liked it. Thank the Genesis computer technoids who paved the way for me to get this. I just took the pieces and stitched them together into one video.
@Cimbarius Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm going to go back and listen to the vocals more carefully. I have listened to so much Gabriel-era Genesis lately that it's all becoming a blur.
Never mind the film quality PS of White - just thank you for posting it. What a mesmerising and uncanny show that must have been to see and hear. All amazing musicians. Oh and that's the first time I've seen that busby/Pharoah-like hat in action. Wierd and fascinating-wonderful. A big smile on my face.
@chinatree1 Mesmerising --- that is a good word for it. Can you imagine what it would be like to go to a Genesis concert in those years, to see something utterly unique, artistic, and sheer genius (that is entirely unlike anything that you've ever seen previously) called "music" or "concert performance"? Any other group would pale in comparison. You're welcome. Take care.
Still powerful, still causes all the hairs on my body to stand up and dance.
