two nation theory has failed. reality is we r three nations now. it was wrong to divide a country like india which is home to many religions on the basis of religion. biggest looser of partition r the muslims of the subcontinent. it is one of the biggest tragedies of humanity.it was insanity not ideology that led to partition.
nobody died for Pakistan but lot of people died because of pakistan.
@Bilaltq Its 15 . Jaswant Singh said in his book . Also , suppose u divide a cake into two halves A and B exactly at 1PM. When U say that A was cut separate at 1PM , it also means that B got itself separated at exactly 1 PM .
Its logical . Moreover , 27th of Ramadan was on 15th I guess.
The Quaid was suffering from terminal illness at the time of Pakistan's founding. He knew he was about to die shortly but he worked to secure the freedom of the nation for the sake of its peoples.
sigh , its too bad that completely unfounded iron age superstitions still serve to divide people into endlessly bickering ,violent factions ...look arround you ,is there any ACTUAL evidence of shiva or allah anywhere to be seen ?
the world is actually quite plausible as a functioning model devoid of any divine creator .certainly geology ,anthropology ,biology and archeology work well enough without such unseen agencys ...but do go ahead and butcher each others children ,it makes god happy,no?
Mainly because Mountbatten went to Pakistan's ceremony first (Aug 14th), and then went to India's (Aug 15th). Why Jinnah said the 15th as Pakistan's birthday may have just been due to him making that announcement a day later on Radio Pakistan.
@nairrajarun : Yes quaid did say it but later on the gathering of national assembly of Pakistan at Karachi it was mutually decided by the leaders to choose 14 august as the independce day. Then it was signed by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah !!
There were certain reasons for this e.g. 27 ramzan and 14 august was on the same night, we officially were handed over the documentation of all sort of military and civil assets. Which never came Pakistan.
Thanks for sharing. It's nice to see a documentary showing the real Jinnah with his real positive and negative sides instead of the unjust negative picture often portrayed in certain documentaries.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah created not only but his ambition destroyed the hopes of English to live still in the Subcontinent. there were nobody except Mr. Jinnah who had courage for the independence of india from british Rule. i think indians must be grateful to Quaid-e-Azam because he was not a Taute of the British
@skg1984 Jinnah's vision of pakistan is radically different from what it is today. It is actually a very tragic story. Jinnah's vision of an Islamic democracy, with a secular government was destroyed with his death, it became a theocracy once the religious zealots took over. It really is a very tragic story of how what was to be a liberation from colonial rule gave birth to the bloodiest feud in history between two peoples who ought to get along.
@fahadwifi The cabinet mission plan would have led to not one but ten partitions ...it was an impractical plancreated by British to create perpetual civil war ..HEAR CAREFULLY ..In this video , Dina Jinnah , her daughter categorically states that he never "really" wanted to get away
..only evil people support somebody like jinnah..This documentary closed its eyes to the fact that jinnah started propagating seperate state from 1930s ..there are proofs to support it..shame on the channel..
@gpardhu :who says jinnah created pakistan??????these were nehru and pateel who denounced the cabnet mission plan and deliberately carved away muslim majority regions(pakistan) of india
wao...finally we fucked india n get Pakistan....bloody randians...oh i mean indians

I doubt it's a source for conspiracies, though.
