Not a bad overtake I'd say, given the width of the roadway and the oncoming traffic. In the US however, especially where I live, motorists pass right into oncoming traffic, putting me at risk of getting hurt. Depends on the situation, though I guess.
I think "wide pinch points" are worse than the narrow ones...
Too wide to hold a good primary without cars hating you instantly or still trying, not wide enough for a car to pass you by thus you wouldn't want to hold secondary.
@gaz545 I can honestly say, that BMW drivers are nearly always the most considerate that I deal with on the road.
When commuting I actually had one overtake (on a very wide road) the equivalent of probably 2 lanes of traffic (it is single carriageway, but as wide as the M25 ;) )
