@Taker836 actually he had no choice but to attack russia. if he hadn't attacked russia russia would have attacked him, and in that case the german army would have crumbled (much like it did in 1944 and 1945 on the eastern front)

his biggest mistakes were: stalingrad, declaring war on the us, and ordering the luftwaffe to concentrate fully on bombing english cities even though the british airforce was nearly wiped out and victory over britain was close at hand.

@fuwhocares it was quite obvious that japan would not attack russia but america since america was the one embargoing thier oil imports not russia.

hitler should not have declared war on america. roosevelt could not declare war on germany because the public was against it. so had hitler not done the biggest mistake in history he would have won in africa, eventually, and held europe long enough to force peace with churchill.

@florinj87 I know what happened, but Hitler had talked to Japan about attacking Russia first and knocking them out first and they could 'share' the oil, Even Stalin thought Japan was going to attack Russia. Stalin would of Attacked germany eventually, probably by the end of 42. Bring America into the war was a huge mistake. just for all the Aid/money, they give england and russia.

Although germany may be industralised, but its economy power and human resource could not match with america and russia. In addition, he may have strong army and air force, but what he lacks was sea power. Compare to Japan, his only ace for navy was bismark.

@Taker836 It would be a good idea, but he's gonna need the resources the Soviets have: gas, oil, etc. Well, Germany can just wait for the Aggression pact to expire before attacking Soviet Union (The Soviets are supplying them anyway.)

Germany shouldn't have given much efforts in helping the Italians. They just screwed their campaign to Europe (Germany backed out in Battle of Kursk to help the Italians, for example. I'm not sure.).
