Just to let people know. I have lost some really good stuff in a storage. I lived in one city, my storage was in another, and I was struggling financially. And to give you an idea what was in there. I had signed Rockets Memorabilia, scuba gear (alot of it), Large, and I mean large Baseball collection (from the 50s and 60s), a small stamp collection, but most of the stamps were from pre-WWII. Those were the big ticket items that was in there. So I know for a FACT THERE IS GOOD STUFF IN UNITS.
@TheIronicBanana -Wow I guess the owner decided to get in the business. Don't worry it is way too involved for most storage facilities owners to even think about. I know of a few places here in Atlanta that did not have auctions for years!
I went to a yard sale, the guy had a TON of Dale Earnhart stuff. It was Sunday afternoon and the guy could not sell it. He was moving and I offered him like $35 for it all. He took the offer, the next weekend Dale died. I made a killing on Ebay!
Thats were I make most of my money. Kids that don't give a shit about their parents stuff. On the other side of that coin when my grandmother got sick my uncle went in and took all her stuff and sold it. Our family heirlooms are gonna because the family drug addict got in a took them.
your right kids will donate there parents treasure so they can clean out house to sale , usually its a lifetime of collecting but kids dont have passion for the stuff.

@Glendon007 Ok I am pissed right now.
They just build 4 storage units within walking distance of my house.
Guess what? Instead of putting the stuff for auction, they sell it on ebay #WTF ?
