@TheCosplayProfessor it's fan dubbed, it's abridged! he completely rewrote it (except keeping the occasion line to make fun of 4Kids, like "In another few hours the sun will rise!" and "Check is pulse Yugi!" because they make no sense in context) and he made it hilarious by making fun of the show from by instead of saying "I challenge you to a duel" it's "I challenge you to a children's card game!"

Plus, he does all the voices. That's just effing amazing.

Well yea sometimes yaoi can get a little um out of hand (the smutty fanfiction out there is pretty remarkable...) but in this case it's just hilarious to me because so many dudes in this show are so skinny with girly hair, there's like two girls in the whole thing, and in particular Marik and Bakura, in expressing no interest in women due to their focus on evil, seem all the more suspicious. :P And regarding legit homosexuality, sometimes you can't predict it based on personality.~

Sometimes I think fans get bored of 'canon' pairings (especially when the losve interest is boring or stereotypical- which tends to be the girl) and sometimes I think they put together people who they think are more interesting as a couple, and often these reasons count regardless of sexuality (i.e. JessexJames from Pokemon and KishxIchigo from Tokyo mew mew are as poplular as any gay pairing from Death Note or Yu Gi Oh.)

Kazuki Takahashi, being bisexual himself, has hinted at homosexual characters in the manga (which, in turn, would carry over to the anime). As for Ryou Bakura (the good side) being gay ~ this is proven in scenes in which he talks about not being interested in girls... etc etc... and his often times comfortable behaviour around male cast. (Sorry, I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh! nerd).

You may see the characters as straight and wouldn't be attracted to each other, but others don't. Gay or not, I personally don't see him as the type to fall in love, but that doesn't mean that other people can't. There are also some characters I see who make a good couple but my friend don't see how that could work. It depends on who you are and how your mind works.
