Good features in general. Some problems. Inside the lists, no tags are shown, further organization is difficult. Section is a good feature too but adding directly to a list's section is impossible now. This together with the 1st problem making the list the final destination. Users are likely to create and delete lists again & again if they want to organize. It'd be better if the main bookmark list provide a filter for unlisted bookmarks only for easy organization.

It sure feels like Google Bookmarks is going to be killed soon... There's no Gadget (for Google Desktop/iGoogle), there's no Google developed Android app, no Google Help Center for the product nor can I find a Google Group dedicated to Google Bookmarks. Sure hope I'm wrong and that folks create a Gadget, Android App, etc...

Argh! This tool is terrible. Why do I have to make a list separate from the labels I already invested significant time into over the last 2 years? I don't have a single friend who shares bookmarks, so no it's not worth the time to hand-pick what I'm putting in it.

The Google bookmarks interface is primitive and requires redundant tasks to select over multiple pages making the process of creating a list tedious and laborious.

Google Xmarks. They're doing better than you are, Google.

how do you share lists with someone who doesn't have a google account for example tried to share list with someone with yahoo email when they click on the link that was sent to their email it tells them to sign in with google account but they have yahoo account, I sent the invite to their yahoo account so is there a way that they can access the list without having google account?

Why doesn't google bookmarks sync with Chrome bookmarks?!!! So frustrating! In Chrome I no longer use the Google Toolbar because its obsolete, so not sure why this feature was not rolled out for Chrome users, who are more dedicated Google-heads than anyone!!! Also, why can't list collaborators add or change bookmarks like with Google Docs? Isn't that the whole point of sharing?

well here are my suggestions to make Google Lists "the preferred" option of all internet users:

1. Sorting lists, & sections underlying them too

2. Keyboard shortcuts at all stages - while creating new lists - new sections - even viewing them; navigating through the list creation box too

Why not mention Google Notebook in the video? It is obvious that this is the replacement.

It would help if Google provided a way to convert Notebooks to lists. I have a lot of Notebooks and it will take ages to re-create them as lists.

I like the look of Lists but I am really going to miss Notebook.

Are Lists going to have the same problem with automated "flagging" of no-existent "violations" that we had with Notebooks? That was the only drawback of Notebook.

Tried it today and it does replace most of the functionality of the older, defunct Google Notebook. Think of 'lists' as the same as 'notebooks' and it even has sections the same as the old Google Notebook. They have added a lot more clipping and graphics functionality so I don't think 'lists' are as clean looking as the old 'notebook'. However, bookmarks and lists are now better integrated than notebooks. I'll probably slowly convert my old notebooks to bookmark 'lists'.

@lbecque - It is a wannabe Google Notebook, but I can't highlight text on a page and clip it directly into the "List" - and the page is too busy, compared to the Spartan Notebook screen. I'll keep using my Google Notebook
