The laserdisc version looks better and kept the blue and gritty mood of the original VHS.

I prefer the blue wash, I always wanted to experience evil dead the original way. With 10th generation vhs quality like in the old t v spots

Looks like the colors are corrected in the DVD while the LD is awash in blue.
Yet, the LD has a brighter, somewhat clearer picture while the DVD is darker (and not in a good way.)
Wonder how the Elite Special Edition Laserdisc holds up to these?
