  • wow...I had the 1962 version of this car for 5 years back in the 1970s....nothing but trouble....constant emergency brake problems (no "park" in the transmission")....constant charging problems, front upper wheel cylinders always blowing, drive through an ounce of water and the engine will die out, no self adjusting brakes, electro-luminessant dash gadges smoking in the "astra dome" dash. I could go on forever..........

  • I own a 1962 300, had it since 1982- have put 55,000 miles on it and have had none of the troubles you have had with yours. I use it daily in the spring and summer months in good weather. The car is 147,000 miles and has the original alternator.

  • It was my first car. I was driving mine as an every day car, even in winter and must have put on about 80,000 miles. I always had a feeling that the car had been near "totaled" and rebuilt at some point in it's history.I absolutely loved the car but it was like owning an airplane.....for every hour you drove it....you spent an hour fixing it.The next car I bought was a 1965 Chevrolet nova wagon in 1982. It was delightfully simple to work on and I rather liked its bleak, basic dashboard.

  • Does she have the ram induction?

  • yea, it has cross ram induction. thanks for the positive feedback...we sold it a few months ago

  • WOW! I sure hope I can find an affordable 300F or 300G one day. Probably not going to happen.. :-( Take good care of one of the greatest cars ever!
