Amplifier Tips : Mono D-class Car Stereo Amplifiers

My monoblock has 4 terminals. what does that mean? Its a hifonics brutus brz1700. I ran it in parallel and noticed the subwoofers were out of sync. I ran the both woofers directly to the amp and the problem stopped. Its currently running at 2 ohms. I want it to run at 1 ohm. What am I supposed to do?

@Mississippiking03 for that amp you need to use the the 2 outer terminals...you probably hooked up the subs wrong too if they are out of sync...if your subs are dual 4 ohm you can hook them up to 1 ohm...but if its dual 2 ohm you cant cuz that amp isnt stable at .5 ohms

there are mono blocks with 2 channels. not all are only one channel. i still dont know what mono block really mean.

2 cdoggy n drummerboi ,kicker amps will only run stable at 2ohms or theyll burn out n like u said 4 rca slots, ones 4 input 1's for output plug d head unit rcas into input n the d output rca r if ur running 2 or more amps so if u only have one amp u not need output

hey pal i got 4 cvr's to a 1000.1 kicker zx i hooked them up to 8 ohms each when i hook them all up the go down to 2 ohms i tried then in 4 ohs each then hooked them up but the amp went into protection so my question would be is the kicker zx 1000.1 1 ohm stable check out my vid tell me what u think man

cdoggy if you get a final load of 8 ohm from each subwoofer, you have 4 DVC 4 ohm subwoofers. You can't get 4 ohms from each which means you can't get a total of 1 ohm. You actually wired it down to 0.5 ohm and the Kicker is not stable at that impedance. Oh and CVR's need 400 wrms each.

You can put a 30hz signal into a 1" dome tweeter, but that doesn't mean you're going to hear anything out of it, or that it's even sensible. That's like trying to put 12.5khz into an 18" SoloX. Just not sensible.

1" dome tweeters can produce 30hz. Hell, 9mm headphone drivers can do 30hz. The problem with that is the drivers are too small and the pressure is dispersed in an area too great for them. Any driver can move at any frequency, but to get audio out of them requires the right size of driver for a given frequency because of the wavelength needed to be moved for the given frequency. Big wavelength, low frequency, big driver. Small wavelength, high frequency, little driver.

Any driver can produce even 1hz to 500khz. But every frequency wont be audible on one driver.

Lets say this. If a 30hz tone is played through a headphone speaker, and no one can hear it. Does it make a sound? Probably not.

usually you take the positive from one amp and feed it into the negative of the other amp and the other positive and negative you feed into your speaker or sub your using thoe not all amps can do this so check your manual
