Wendy was one of my best friends up until she died! She was so humble and genuine! Never boasted and she never changed! She was so talented and left us all to young! We miss you THS Class of 1981!
I miss them both Bill jack was my uncle and wendy was my cousin. I got to see her for the last time in 1985 we had a famliy get toghter at their place .That was the last time i saw wendy because i joined the Marines .I was at Camp Pendleton,Ca.when i got the new's that wendy had passed away.I did'nt get to make it home.Miss u Wendy. TomtheMarine.
@caboose171717 Howdy Tom, she ws a great musician and very talented. I would've loved to meet her. In fact she inspired me to play the banjo too. I miss her playing too. I am so lucky to get to know her cuzzin's cuzzin too., howdy Tom.I would've loved to meet her. Best Wishes LittleCountryDJ
I was friends with her daddy. He just recentley passed away. I never met Wendy, but her dad was AMAZING. He owned a place called Lonesome Dove and he built it himself and he gave tours. And he let me and my bro help. And he had a dog called Ms. Buddie that his dad saw wondering around and he gave it to him.
I knew Wendy personally and she was awesome, as a musician and as a person. I got to know her through a good friend Tom Blosser, who then became her husband. Whenever they came to Indiana and came to my place she was comfortable and always smiling. We had a couple get togethers with our friends and Wendy entertained us all. I loved her so much, and really miss her, and Tom, who passed 2 years ago, he never got over loosing her and died with a broken heart.
I saw her on nashville on the road ,when she played the other musicians mouth dropped, she was doing hendrix licks on the banjo at 14 years old.A great musician.
Each time that I watch a Wendy Holcombe video, I become more truly amazed at just how talented she was. She was an awesome musician and TV actor. May God rest her soul and bless her family.
beth868 that was a nasty comment from a disrespectful sow about a beautiful talented young woman from Alabama with more talent than any city slicker in America! She was simply the greatest banjo picker of her time and she is missed tremendously!!!! On the other hand beth868, when your number is called few will even know you're gone!!
I love the way that Wendy picked this tune. This TV show gave the credit and performing time that she deserved. This is just one reason why she was not only the hottest and most talented banjo picker at the time, but also the most talented musician and performer.
Sorry to have missed this talented person. RIP...

Wow,
She's great at both guitar and banjo. I'd never heard of her until Tom Arri posted a link on the tab section of BHO...Jack Baker NYC
