Funny how two of the world's greatest rock legends how actually cared and sung about something meaningful died before their time. Only assholes grow old.
@ChristianU2ubeh Drummer.. Cozy Powell ?? (Ex Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Rainbow (with Dio),Gary Moore band to name a few) or is he not good enough for you?
You are going to need another guitarist. Randy Rhoads, look him up. He is not worthy of being in the presence of the others. NO! They are worthy of his presence. And if you need a drummer, may I suggest Keith Moon? He might not be a drummer god. But he was batshit insane. His favourite pasttime was blowing up hotel toilets with explosives. Lots of explosives.
RIP Gary. Will not ever forget the first time i heard this song on swedish radio. Had my ghetto blaster and my moms stereo at full blast at the same time, think it was in 86. Miss you.
Please, get your facts corrected: This is not Thin Lizzy with Gary Moore; this is Gary Moore with Phil Lynott from Gary Moore's album Run for cover (1985) with another song with and by Phil Lynott (Military man). Out on the fields was Phil Lynott's last recording before he died.
Mint song ... But it's Gary Moore's, not Thin Lizzy's :D It was 1985 it came out (As far as I can remember, I wasn't there when it was as I am only 17 lol) Please correct me if I'm wrong :D R.I.P Phil!!!
damn this song is fucking awsome. i feel the void thats been present in my soul got filled with some fucking sweet sounds of screaming guitars. my hats are off to these guys seriously
@Thinkingjelle Just as You say my friend, In this song phil is singing just two verses of the song and plays the bass, But gary sings all choruses and also the bridge, and also plays the lead riffs and lead solos... JUST AS YOU SAID MY FRIEND.... :)
I just looked this song up, and its actually a single by Gary Moore and Phil Lynott. It's not a Thin Lizzy song. Also, it's definitely not on Dedication: Very Best of Thin Lizzy. It is, however, on Out in the Fields: Very Best of Gary Moore.
Although, to be fair, the picture used for this video does look like it has a different song list than what's on my Dedication compilation. Perhaps it has been re-released with different songs?
I have the Dedication: Very Best of Thin Lizzy compilation, and this is not one of the songs. Also, this isn't even Phil Lynott singing. I'm very confused.

OK, so this is my idea of a band in Heaven.
Gary Moore - guitar/vocals
Ronnie James Dio - vocals
Phil Lynott - bass/vocals
Dimebag Darrell - guitar
A drum machine until someone good dies.

this version is good but i like the one by sonata arctica better.
LMarcy8 2 years ago
Sonata's was ok, and dont get me wrong i like sonata a lot . but Phil Lynott was a GOD. He lived the dream. He was black jesus. Game over.
ironsaviorguy99 2 years ago 7
lol jesus was black mate, ever been to isreal? but your dead right
paddyoshea55 2 years ago
Well, a lot of arabs and african's migrated there, but id say he probably looked somehing like an arab today.
ironsaviorguy99 2 years ago
@ironsaviorguy99 well, Phil rocked totally, but i would say Jimi Hendrix was the black jesus.
kjn5991 2 weeks ago
I like them both; however, I do think I like Sonata Arctica's better just because Tony has a greater vocal range
