  • We miss you both guys

  • thank you so fuckin mutch, I have been lookin for this song so long

  • no flag has ever stoped a bullet from a gun....... TEL THAT TO CAPTAIN AMERICA :D :D

  • Haha Thin Lizzy REALLY??!? Its even tagged Gary Moore at the side wtf? Epic song!

  • @siobey Gary Moore played together with Thin Lizzy (or at least Lynott) on a couple of songs I think, but please don't arrest me if I'm wrong! ;)

  • EPIC!

  • This song makes me want to save the World

  • it's a Gary Moore song from 1985. the performers were Gary Moore & Phil Lynott

  • 1 dislike?

    FUCK YOU PAL!!

  • Funny how two of the world's greatest rock legends how actually cared and sung about something meaningful died before their time. Only assholes grow old.

  • awesome song and group never another thin lizzy

  • classic

  • 1 person lacks a cock

  • @TheWelshpole Nah, they just lack something. Like respect for the dead or love for rock.

  • Is there always a jerk that pushes the dislike button?!?!? WTF?

  • rip gary and phil...may you rock out in the fields somewhere :)

  • i am actualy named after phil (philip barnes) thats my name! Keep rocking on !'' in the felds the fightin has begun''

  • Rest in peace Gary.

  • OK, so this is my idea of a band in Heaven.

    Gary Moore - guitar/vocals

    Ronnie James Dio - vocals

    Phil Lynott - bass/vocals

    Dimebag Darrell - guitar

A drum machine until someone good dies.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh mitch mitchell on drums perhaps?

  • @ChristianU2ubeh You're missing Chuck in there.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh Drummer.. Cozy Powell ?? (Ex Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Rainbow (with Dio),Gary Moore band to name a few) or is he not good enough for you?

    RIP all the legends named.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh

Ummmmmm I guess you've never heard of John Bonham???

I shouldnt have to name the band, but I will "Led Zeppelin"

  • @ChristianU2ubeh

You are going to need another guitarist. Randy Rhoads, look him up. He is not worthy of being in the presence of the others. NO! They are worthy of his presence. And if you need a drummer, may I suggest Keith Moon? He might not be a drummer god. But he was batshit insane. His favourite pasttime was blowing up hotel toilets with explosives. Lots of explosives.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh

That drum machine bit cracked me up!

Seriously though, that would be one hell of a band!!!! ;-)

  • RIP Gary. Will not ever forget the first time i heard this song on swedish radio. Had my ghetto blaster and my moms stereo at full blast at the same time, think it was in 86. Miss you.

  • greatest rock duo ever . RIP.

  • RIP..at least he got reunited with Phil

  • R.I.P. Gary !!!

  • Rest in peace Gary.

  • rip gary moore youve inspired us all!!

  • RIP Gary

  • AWESOME !!!!

    R.I.P. Legends !!!

  • Rest in peace Gary Moore.

  • A Sad loss. Awesome song.

  • R.I.P Gary Moore.

  • Ive known this song since I was about 7 but I never knew who performed it. Im a huge Lizzy fan and Im glad I found this :D

  • All men are equal

    Till the victory is won

    No colour or religion

Ever stopped the bullet from a gun

Wow. That verse is pure genius.

  • Awesome song, whichever way round they are!

  • Please, get your facts corrected: This is not Thin Lizzy with Gary Moore; this is Gary Moore with Phil Lynott from Gary Moore's album Run for cover (1985) with another song with and by Phil Lynott (Military man). Out on the fields was Phil Lynott's last recording before he died.

  • DONT LET SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE !

  • Mint song ... But it's Gary Moore's, not Thin Lizzy's :D It was 1985 it came out (As far as I can remember, I wasn't there when it was as I am only 17 lol) Please correct me if I'm wrong :D R.I.P Phil!!!

  • Phil Lynott is a fucking God Thin Lizzy Rock

  • I LOVE this song!! :D

  • damn this song is fucking awsome. i feel the void thats been present in my soul got filled with some fucking sweet sounds of screaming guitars. my hats are off to these guys seriously

  • one powerful song

  • thin lizzy is soo cool

  • This song is not from thin lizzy, It's Gary Moore's song...

  • @mezanw

    gary moore and phil lynott.

  • @Thinkingjelle Gary Moore Ft. Phil Lynott :)

  • @mezanw

no and. they almost do the same. if 1 person does the most then it's feat

  • @Thinkingjelle Just as You say my friend, In this song phil is singing just two verses of the song and plays the bass, But gary sings all choruses and also the bridge, and also plays the lead riffs and lead solos... JUST AS YOU SAID MY FRIEND.... :)

  • @mezanw

but it's still a great song

  • @Thinkingjelle Hell yes dude!... Luv gary moore and phil lynott!! they're (we're) GODS!

  • @Thinkingjelle WERE lol...

  • it bosent mater if your wong are right . DAWN i still love you ???

  • Greatest ever Irish musicians

  • i wish phil lynott never died gary moore and phil were the legendary pair

  • at the beginning of the beautiful sounds of guitars. my God I love it :-* <3 ♥♥♥♥ :):))))

  • Amazing song, will forever ring true. No flag stops a bullet from a Gun.

  • Gary moore!!!!!!!

  • Honestly, this version is the best.

  • Sonata's was ok, and dont get me wrong i like sonata a lot . but Phil Lynott was a GOD. He lived the dream. He was black jesus. Game over.

  • lol jesus was black mate, ever been to isreal? but your dead right

  • Well, a lot of arabs and african's migrated there, but id say he probably looked somehing like an arab today.

  • @ironsaviorguy99 well, Phil rocked totally, but i would say Jimi Hendrix was the black jesus.

  • I like them both; however, I do think I like Sonata Arctica's better just because Tony has a greater vocal range

  • i completely agree

  • It doesnt matter if it isnt a Thin Lizzy, its still a brilliant song

  • Why don`t they make em like this no more. Just a great Classic

  • omg legend song should be more bands like this

  • They don't make 'em like this anymore!

  • best song ever

  • It fuckin rockz!!!!!

  • I just looked this song up, and its actually a single by Gary Moore and Phil Lynott. It's not a Thin Lizzy song. Also, it's definitely not on Dedication: Very Best of Thin Lizzy. It is, however, on Out in the Fields: Very Best of Gary Moore.

So, uh, yeah. That's why I was confused.

  • Although, to be fair, the picture used for this video does look like it has a different song list than what's on my Dedication compilation. Perhaps it has been re-released with different songs?

  • Out In the Fields is on the European version of Dedication: The Very Best of Thin Lizzy. It is not on the US version.

  • Ah, thanks, blacksabfan. That explains why I don't have it on my version of Dedication.

  • I have the Dedication: Very Best of Thin Lizzy compilation, and this is not one of the songs. Also, this isn't even Phil Lynott singing. I'm very confused.

  • the best thin lizzy song i have heard ever

  • mostly because its not a thin lizzy song to begin with :)

  • then who is it from? i have no idea. i heard it on sonata arcticas album unia and im trying to find the original. can you help me out?

  • It's in the Gary Moore's "Run for Cover" album.

  • sweet song

  • cool
