How can Liberals be opposed to these hearings? Here is a partial list of things that radical Islam is against and that Liberals favour: abortion, gay rights, gay marriage, women's rights. Radical Islam believes in a form of Shariah law that oppresses women, preventing women from being educated, going outside uncovered without a male relative, punishing women for being raped, stoning gays for being gay, among other things Liberals oppose (or do you?) @Shrunkinskulls Terrorism is not the basis of any major religion. What one needs to see in these hearings is the lack of differentiation between people who want to harm others and those who do not, and grouping them together by solely by their religion.
For example, one could just as easily convene a hearing about all males ages 18-40 and blame them for all the acts of violence in any given community, a much easier (and probably vastly more accurate) indictment.

Instead of condemning terrorism with humility and working to reform the violent supremacist tendencies within Islamic ideology and working to save lives and bring peace, moderate Muslims are preoccupied with not having Islam and Muhammad criticized. There main interest is not saving the lives of infidels but protecting the pride of Islamic self respect.

New converts to Islam often become violent fanatics. This is because they take the Koran very seriously. Please read the Koran and it will be very clear where terrorism comes from.
