  • how much did all the glass cost??

  • Keep calm & chive on!

  • I could listen to his accent all day...sexxxy. Nice green house.

  • good work!

    greetings from austria, VGM

  • I tried to build one of these in 5 minutes. It took me like 3 days. I guess I'm just not that fast.

  • can this green house be used as a cold frame in the fall ?

  • $500 in materials for $75 worth of Tomato

  • I can build a Office Building in 5 minutes too..ummmmmm

  • one thing i have noticed about you all your lumber looks to be true 2x4 and 2x6? here in the usa you get a 2x4 or 2x6 ect. you realy only get 1/34x3/34:( nice green house by the way:)

  • @raptormaxx maybe metric and usa, most of the timber for the frame is 6x12cm,cheers

  • @raptormaxx An American 2x4 is 1.5 x 3.5 the reason for this is the housing boom after wwII. In an attempt to keep up with supply the dimensions were shifted in an attempt to maintain strength and make lumber more available.

  • Am I wrong? actual please tell me I am wrong at 3:35 I can’t help but notice that there dose not seem to be and units/panels/planes (what ever you want to call them) of glass at the top of the right hand gable, to the lower right of the right hand gable and to the lower left of the left hand gable as well as glass missing between the bottom of the roof and the top of the front side

  • How do you ventilate it when the sun is strong? Is there some hinged portions to allow it to be opened to let the heat out? thank you for your time... Great Great looking greenhouse. You do good work. Roxane

  • cost?

  • uh...in 5 minutes???? ru kidding? beautiful but not a 5 minute project

  • @melissam0ss The construction is shown in a 5 minute video - get it?

  • nice one!!!

  • song please?

  • feels good to complete something you always wanted to do n feel like "... what to do now?"

  • Luv the Boo-gy Woo-gy music!

  • LOLOL at keep calm chive on shirt at the end

  • that's some great looking lumber!

  • Not a bad little project! :)

  • Bravo!

  • that is a big drill

  • @88roro11 strained me wrist with it

  • @garryentropy imagine that is a cool project you completed sir

  • @garryentropy Wait.... I know that accent... Uhm... Irish?

  • TIME LAPSE

  • I'm glad to see so many people liked the music. I thought I was weird or something. Great greenhouse. Plus, you're kinda yummy yourself. I made a cool mini greenhouse just for beginning of the season and end of the season to make my growing time longer. When I got new windows for my living room, I kept two big storm windows and joined them with two big hinges. When not in use, it folds up and stores easily.

  • I LOVE PLANTS. MY OLD MAN, I KNOW HE WOULD NOT BUILD ME A GREEN HOUSE I DON'T THINK HE LOVES ME AS MUCH AS I LOVE HIM SO NO GREENHOUSE FOR ME. HE IS LAZZZZZY

  • What is your soil made up of in your greenhouse?

  • 5 minutes?

  • LIAR! that took way longer than 5 minutes. lol

  • I came for the greenhouse, but stayed for the music! That song is so twisted, its simply brilliant!!

  • How much did this project cost you, sir?

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • is there any ventilation in there?

  • You are a person who has touched my heart. I want to do the same exact thing in my back yard. Could you let your you tube family know how much your total investment was for this project? Happy growing and eating!

  • @Lafemme46 thanks!

  • @garryentropy can you send me the plans mate?

  • nice!

  • Cool music...I always wondered what Santa did in his off time!

  • Oh no, you forgot to add moisture barrier between wood and concrete........ and if you have termite in your area.... oh no!!!!

  • nice work, do you want to share the dimensions to this project? what kind of windows did you use? it sure looks like high teck :D

  • looking great garry, how do u do during summer? can u open the roof?

  • @sikamikan just flaps at the side its enough

  • Very Classy design good job

  • well done

  • Wow nice work Gary....

  • If they had to pay for the glass you could just forget about this project. Those puppies look at least 1 inch thick.

  • Cant be cheap ,might a been cheaper to buy your vegetables at the store?

  • hahaha i thought i was listening to liam gallagher talking about the plants

  • gee all of that in 5 minutes? wow i never knew that would take that long.

  • I want a greenhouse same like this :-)

  • That came out great. What an excellent design completed with remarkable craftsmanship. The video and sound quality were perfect as well. Thanks for posting.

  • WTF!? That took you guys at least 10 minutes to build

  • WTF!? That took you guys at least 10 minutes to build

  • False advertisement this took way longer than 5 minutes to build. :-P

  • This music is the bomb. Hell yah !

  • @dusteroo

It's going to be stuck in my head all day

    AUGH!!!

But then again, so is that green house...

  • Nice looking greenhouse. What were the angles you used?

  • Brilliant job, must feel great after completing.

  • Nice work!

  • Nice one, even better you got the wife of the kitchen chain for the built! well done.

  • It's nice, but I really don't understand something... Why do people build such inefficient greenhouses?! Use triple pane siding, and NO windows on the north side. ONLY have windows on the south side. It's best to design a greenhouse as a hoop shape cut in half for cold climates. Insulate the north side like crazy and do the same with the east and west sides. Ensure you have a very large dark thermal mass on the inside north wall and you're good to go! Very little supplemental heating needed!

  • @cptnsmelly your right about the north wall, I used the materials that were to hand but I may block of the north side one day, cheers

  • I'm guessing it took more than 5 minutes to build that

  • How much did the windows cost?

  • @IndigoVibes free rejects from a building site

  • @garryentropy They delivered them to you?

  • @garryentropy lol free rejects from a glass company that brings you the material on site?

  • @TheClownCentral give the bloke 20 euro and a bottle of wine for delivering it.

  • How much was the glass?

  • I really hope you get a chance to answer my question. Where did you get the supports for holding the glass in place. I have an angle about like yours and some free window panes pretty much identical to yours (they came off of some big sliding doors). I have no idea how to attach them and they are very heavy. It looked like you had some sort of metal channels with screws and maybe some sort of bracket at the bottom to sit the glass on? Could you please help? Thank you so much.

  • Who knew super Mario moonlighted as a window glazier!? haha

  • Great Effort Mate, very impressive

  • @OutlawMCC thanks

  • How did it do this summer ?

  • @magna59 very good cheers

  • Very beautiful ... you were lucky with your friends.

  • you are lucky if I try do tis in Italy the government make me a big bill and make me destroyer the greenhouse Tank you beautiful video

  • Very cool, like the look, how lucky to get hold of panels that were destined for the tip! Where is this greenhouse, sounds like you might be in Germany!

  • While I have no idea what he said, listening to him talk about put me to sleep. Good work.

  • look great.....wish I had a greenhouse!

  • Does it allow year round growing?

  • sweet

  • Wow! Looks cool man! I wanna make one now :)

  • What kind of glass are you using?

  • @MrAnomilus triple glazed slightly damaged glass, destined for the dump, free

  • 5 minutes?

  • grow some weed

  • nice ass baby

  • I didn't like the porn music in the background

  • Very nice!!! You know what they say about getting sent to the dog house..... "Man, who, too often get sent to DOG HOUSE, soon get found in CAT HOUSE!!!! heh-heh-heh Good boy! Woof-Woof!!! :-D Very well done man!!!

  • how much did it cost?

  • nice work! building the second greenhouse on our earthsip here in fla hope to be done this week. the weather is still in the 80s here.

  • this guy sounds stoned..(:

  • i thought it was going to take me 5 min

  • ...good job...don't get excited now....

  • At 0:29 your wife is so hot. Congratulations.

  • Shoot the duck

  • Pretty cool but you need to shoot that duck singing in your theme music..

  • I want a plan..lol I wonder if me and my 11 year old could figure out how to build this?

  • Next project-- try a $100 dollar PVC hoop house for the 800 square feet of space you'll need to grow enough food to put a dent in your food bill.

  • if you can get that glass for free sure...but wtf this costs way to much if you have to buy that glass

  • much better than the pvc greenhouse i have seen on youtube danke for posting

  • The title is misleading

  • Well Done!

  • That is a great little greenhouse!! I love it!

  • Cool design -- I am attracted by the greenhouse's simplicity.

  • I dont might living in it

  • How do the bees get in to do their work?

  • @DrReaper leave flaps on the side open

  • Great job! Added bonus - he sounds just like Ringo Starr. I expect him to start singing Yellow Submarine at any minute during the end of the video.

  • THAT'S SOME LITTLE GREEN HOUSE, IF YOU EVER GET SENT TO THE DOG HOUSE THAT ONE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO MOVE INTO.

  • @RDLONG30 woof!

  • Sieht sehr gut aus!!!

  • ok i understand that, but if someone want to build a greenhouse like that one it would be cost really expensive!

  • To money money for this dude.. maybe more than 2000€ ?

  • @amaruz that waas the idea we got the glass free the wood free just pay for screws

  • @garryentropy

how'd you manage to get it free? great job :)

  • @garryentropy do tell how you got glass for free?

  • @hybridracers go to a glaziers and have a look in the back yard, they are usually full of old window frames, often the glaziers are happy to get rid of them as they must pay disposal costs. Those panes in the video were rejected as some guy accidently sprayed them with a sand blaster on the building site.

  • I will put on gutters on both sides of 45 degrees angled roof covered with UV stable polyvinyl to intercept rain water into empty cheap transparent industrial tank with pipe of capacity 1000 liters for drip watering in my greenhouse.

  • I'm building my own greenhouse from wasted palettes made of pine wood now but I'm using wasted oil for impregnation and white lasure color in 2 layers to reveal the structure of wood and protect from the weather. I will made concrete foundations too to move away wood frame from wet ground.

  • Nice video! I much prefer wooden greenhouses to aluminum-framed ones...although they do the same job, they sit better in the environment! How did your veggies turn out?

  • Very nice job! Nice music, too.

  • very good looking.

  • Very nice job. What do you average the cost would be to build from scratch?

  • @BADBRYZ hard to say about cost, the glass and wood was free, favour for a favour, had to buy the breeze blocks, cement, rubber strips and screws, ask at your local glazier about old windows

  • Im lovin this video. I also like your others. I subscribed to your channel...

  • @12345mike6789 cheers mike your twin sheds look earthquake proof best garry

  • Great looking greenhouse. You can get a better and faster yield with aquaponics. Veggies grow so much faster and a your greenhouse is perfect for it

  • Looks fab. Very sturdy. Hope you have a great harvest. Thanks for showing us and the way you made the film. I'm sure you'll find something else to do. Staging for the greenhouse maybe.

  • Is it me or are there massive gaps in the sides? Not very weather proof! Looks nice though, but I'd definitely enclose the whole thing, make them windows that open if you like. But in heavy rain that thing is going to flood or get water logged, also won't stand up to frost very well in the winter.

Anyway, it's far better than anything I could produce so I'll shut up :-)

  • @lufferov those gaps will be closed with little flaps on hinges made of styrofoam backed with plywood otherwise it would be too hot in summer, and too cold in winter thanks for the interest

    best garry

  • Thanks for the call-out Garry, I got quite a surprise... a very pleasant surprise.

Isn't it great to see stuff in the greenhouse? Don't do like I do and over-water. I am having real difficulty controlling my urge to go mad with the hose. This year I'm trying to stick to a new rule I saw on here - push a finger into the soil and if it's damp an inch down don't water. You are going to love this project. A new project? Raised bed are easy, cheap and very rewarding.

    Best Wishes, Brendan.

  • Awesome job, Garry!! I love the setup you have in your back yard!! =) Nice greenhouse, too!! =) Can't wait to build mine!!!

  • You really do, do everything
