I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, I have nothing against you personaly. I am merely standing up for my culture as any proud person would.

Many Armenians in Turkey had to change their lastnames and hide their religious beliefs in order not be per persecuted. My family is an example. They eventually moved to Canada so they could live without fear. If you look up all those names you will see their biographies. MANY Armenians in Canada and all over the world have Turkish last names.

jcb4u, those names may not be Turkish, but you surely realize that thousands of Armenians currently live in Turkey with Turkish last names.

Their are also what are known as "hidden Armenians" who from feer of persecution hid their religious beliefs, changed their names, and assimilated to Turkish society. Over the generations their history was essentilaly erased from memory. You can read up on this if you like.

jcbc4u, Their may be junkies in the audience but you cannot generalize all fans of "Rock" or "Heavy Metal" music as junkies. That's personally offensive and I can speak for many fans who are just ordinary average people. But I know your comment is aimed at being offensive to Armenians obviously.

Denying the Armenian genocide is definitely wrong. However judging all Turks is also unfair. I've been to Turkey with the Turkish Greens and they don't deny it. Unfortunately while I was there a journalist/pacifist was murdered. There were massive protests, which means that many Turks don't mind telling the truth. It's a group of die hard Turks who deny it, and deprive their people from peace.
