We have things in our country call "street signs". They really help the driver figure out where to go. But they are right about roundabouts, or rotaries as we call them in Boston. They are awful, and when traffic reaches a critical point, they fail completely. My commute improved immensely when they removed the one at Fresh Pond and put in traffic lights. Conversely , mini-roundabouts work great in congested neighborhoods instead of 4-way stop signs. There you go. Discuss.
