chill guys. This is music, not some kind of competition. There is no way that metallica would choose a bad musician to play with them or somebody not fitting them
Jason was a far tighter and accurate bassist with his pick than cliff ever was. People had disable comments due to all the negative comments about cliff's sloppy fingers on master of puppets. Period.
But cliff played that way intenionally and thats the style he just formed out of himself im pretty sure. jason cant solo like cliff like cliff cant play as precise and fast as jason.
you can find this album anywhere... I bought it at best buy, got the 25 anniversary release which came with the whole album remastered, bonus tracks, and a dvd of their performances
Ya Eric AK (the vocalist) does have a bit of a feminine voice but in order to reach that high you kind of have to, jason does backing vocals on this album too. listen to the whole album and get back to me on it... You'll like it.. Im giving my gaurentee on that
metal shock and listen to the album doomsday for the deceiver.... my favs is actually the whole album... i wish jason didnt go to metallica. He was better in flostam in my opinion
No.. I did not mean it this way. He is a great bassist, if he wasn't he wouldn't be with Metallica. I think everyone would rip an arm off to play with them.
It's just that Jason was such a passionate musician - still is. And I miss something at Rob that Jason and Cliff had.
It's not that Rob doesn't have the skills - he has I know. And it's not that he doesn't love the music - which he most certainly does.
It's just that I don't feel his music the way I felt Jason's.
It's just not his style, for example in Suicidal Tendencies or in Infectious Grooves, Trujillo is great, cause that's his style a little more funky than Metallica.
Rob is a great bass player, just not the one to fit in a band like Metallica.
Anyway Jason was the balls in Metallica, Cliff was a creative genious, Rob it's just doing a gig in that band.
not metallica, what the fuck man metallica was the best with cliff!!!!!!!!!! maybe more popular with jason cus of black album jason should of stayed with flotsam he kicked ass with them but metallica was much better with cliff.!!!!!!!!
Yeah ok, Cliff was just a god on bass. But after Cliff's death Jason was just the best and compared to him Rob sucks. Compared to Cliff, Jason did not suck, he was just different. My oppinion.

That is absolutely true as well. They are 2 bassists that will definitely go down in the books!

Doomsday is an amazing album. Buy it, if you can find it. It's worth gold.

By the way, does someone of you guys know what "U.L.S.W" stands for? I just couldn't find out.
I think both 'Tallica and Flotsam are great, and both were at their best with Jason.

Ok.. I read somewhere that Jase once said it stands for Ugly Little Slimy Wench. But I'm not sure, if that's true.
..Just if someone else was interested

They both were great when I was teenager in this period. Flotsam's new album is "gonna rip some ass!"

I bought that album, it was alright, but i honestly think Metallica's far better than Flotsam and Jetsam
