my theory is its all planned out to look that way, same reason talk shows have cue cards they cant have accidents on tv but having been a fan of the show i'd have to say it seems legit

I don't think it is planned out. These guys are just really good. Also if you watch some of the outakes the producer will stop them if they do anything that could be seen as too offensive, and so they either start over or just move on to a new game.

I'm pretty sure the taping sessions lasted hours. It's edited to look off-the-cuff, but they probably did numerous takes for each prop.

i've seen people run out of things to say or mess up and drew will cover for them by buzzing and moving the show along. some of it is planned i think, like what will happen as far as what they will do during the taping, but i'm pretty sure the "improv" is really improv. they could also be doing retakes, just cuz there's an audience doesn't mean they can't tell them to act excited or laugh at certain parts lol
