DOES ANYONE know the song that plays during the ending credits of this episode??? I have been frantically searching for an hour to no avail... please help!
Find the full episode. The parts that really got me were not even in this blurb.
******
If you can't find the episode:
The longest walk of their lives is onto the truck to slaughter, they live on a slatted floor above a resevoir of their own feces that stinks up the entire town, etc.
"The parts that really got me were not even in this blurb. "
Exactly. When they talk about the precautions needed to even enter the building, the sterilization of all equipment, laboratory meat tests, they did in 15 min what nutritionists, animal rights' activists, and environmentalists have failed to do for many, and that is make the very thought of eating meat, especially pork, flat out disgusting.
And that wasn't even the intent when they started filming the story!
I can't imagine how anyone who watched the entire episode could ever eat meat again. I was an unapologetic carnivore up until I watched this episode and I have been an unapologetic vegetarian ever since. Zero backsliding, don't miss eating meat one little bit. All I can say is--you can't really get the essence of the piece from this clip, you would really have to watch the whole thing. Absolutely sickening and horrifying and should be required viewing for anyone who still eats meat.

there is nothing wrong that is going in any of that video it is all natural. Those pigs are treated better than some people. Heat in the winter cooled air in the summer. daily monitoring for disease. You peta or hsus hippies just need to go jump off a bridge.
I'm not from PETA or HSUS, nor do I like either of those orgs. But living above a reservoir of your own feces with 10 yards being the longest walk of your life is pretty wrong.
I'm angry no way. You animal rights organizations are trying to kill the american family farm. that is what makes me mad. trying to take away people's way of life because you want to eat grass. everybody can do what they want it's a free country. Do as you choose just leave others out of it.
Sorry to break it to you dude, but the American family farm as it pertains to livestock is deader than dead. And it takes just the most basic of research to understand that animal rights organizations had nothing to do with what farms have become today.
It is not what we want, it is what the animals want. All sentient creatures have the right to live. Everyone can do what they want, as long as it doesn't infringe upon the well-being of others. Do as you choose, just leave others out of it, and that includes all sentient creatures.

Cry me a river. This process puts good, clean and nutritious food on your plate for a fraction of the cost that free range pigs would come to. It really shouldn't matter that some sound tech with a community college degree in sobbing vaginas can't stand to see a sow give birth.
This misses the point without the rest of the show. Its the sterile, artificial raising of pork in modern meat factories thats bad. The rest of the crew (and me too!) appreciates wholesome, grain fed, freely roaming organic pig meat, not genetically manipulated, lab raised samples.

Listen Vegans, the animals will be killed ANYWAY regardless of what you think. Better to eat the meat than just let it be a cold, blunt kill with no meaning eh?, welcome to reality, enjoy your stay.
That's false logic... alot of vegans I know don't complain about the animals death, everyone dies it's a fact of life, they complain about the way they are killed. They are forced fed, filled with steroids, slaughter in unsanitary conditions and so much more. It's bad for livestock and humans. Don't take my word for it read the jungle by upton sinclair or fast food nation or checkout a documentary see real images of what a factory farm is. It might just change your mind
Vegans don't generally argue about the disgusting manner in which an animal is killed, because we don't wish to 'improve' that.We oppose the exploitation of sentient creatures entirely, and work only towards abolishing animal exploitation completely.Animal abuse is disgusting, but it is animal use that vegans oppose. Of course, images of the standardised abuse that takes place in these horrible places is about the only thing people will pay attention to,no one cares about philosophical arguments
Pigs are actually extremely intellignet, social, and CLEAN animals. When they are forced to live the way they are, they basically go insane. You're an idiot.
Wow I have no idea what the argument in the comments is but I have ideas. Fuck you PETA!

See, Lefty, all that meat makes you angry. Maybe you should increase your fiber intake, you seem a little constipated, too.
