i love the glock 20, but edc?? i dunno about that. I think that is overkill for self defense. (no pun intended) i think i will stick to my .38 for social work. Like one of the other commenters said, you are gonna kill the bad guy, then kill some innocent standing behind him.
Just found out that I can buy a Glock 20 in my country, but i hafta wait for 6 months + some more months depending on lotsa stuff, but yeah i'ma gonna get a Glock 20 asap.
did u ever make the othet video in relation to the Glock 20.. I plan on getting one next month for my bday.. in ur opinion, what is the difference between the brand names of Sig Sauer and the Glock.. im fairly new to all this.
@WhatHavU Both make a professional-level, high quality and super reliable gun, but they go about it completely differently. Glock is polymer framed and striker fired, with a big blocky feel. The Sig is an alloy frame, and has a more ergonomic feel. It's also DA/SA (double action/single action), so the trigger pull on the two guns is way different. I prefer the Sig, but you can't go wrong with either.
The 10mm is easily in the top two or three caliburs in an auto pistol. My only complaint is that in a real world situation such as, crime prevention where we're within ten meters on average this round will go through a bad guy and keep going for a good hundred meters. My question is; are we willing to have those question marks for the safety of non-combatants? There is no doubt that this round would stop a crime in the right hands, but what kind of danger does it put others in?
Congratulations on your new purchase. The great thing about the 10mm is its versatility so if you decide to edc the G20, I'd highly recommend using 135gr rounds, or even 125gr. All hail the 10mm!
I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE
Awesome. And I don't even like Glocks! I like how you roll, got the best Glock, the best Sig, and the M&P is ok as well. Wait, let me correct myself... the SIG P220 Combat is the best Sig IMO. But shit, I'll take your collection anyday!
Food for thought. Anyone who carries a 10mm as a CCW EDC should be aware of it's tendency to over penetrate. It's powerful and will neutralize what it hits, but if it goes through the bad guy and hits someone else, You have one hell of a liability on your hands. A decent Civil lawsuit attorney will chew you up in court for choosing a caliber that the FBI decided was too much for it's highly trained agents to handle. I save the 10mm for when I go into the woods. Those targets don’t sue.
@AdUtrumquePeratus76 I don't know what state you're in but in Michigan, if it's a good shoot (meaning in self defense of yourself or other from harm or sexual penetration) a prosecutor will not and can not win a case of over penetration or that the round is too big. Many people carry .44mag (Which is larger) every year and no one has ever been found criminally or financially liable. SCOTUS has already ruled on it as well.
@wolvee123 I'm in Kansas, and we are relatively gun friendly, but I also know that I'm responsible for every shot fired. I am confident that the 40 will do the job, and feel comfortable with the defense that if it is the same gun and round approved for the majority of LEO's, It's harder to make a civil case. You don't have to lose a lawsuit for it to bankrupt you, by the way. I grew up in California; Maybe I'm still traumatized by what the anti-gun folks will do given the opportunity.
@wolvee123 For myself, even if I knew all of the bad guys would have only a bullet stop or other bad guys behind them, I'd still chose my 40's for defensive carry because I have faster more accurate follow up shots than I do with my 10mm. I'm accurate with my .44, but I know I'm SLOOOW when it comes to reacquiring a good sight picture for a follow up shot. Of course the muzzle blast might give them a heart attack.
@wolvee123 AdUtrumque is talking about a wrongful death suit which is adjudicated in civil court. Gun laws are particular to the state so I would ask a local 2nd amendment attorney his thoughts but in the state where I live, if I am carrying a 10MM where I know there's the potential for bystanders, and one of them gets hurt specifically because of the 10MM's over penetrating characteristics, you will have a lawsuit on your hands. Whether you beat the suit will depend on the specific facts.
@wolvee123 what he's saying is that if it over penetrates and hurts someone you're liable. same as if it damages peoples property. the av. stray round in self defense costs a million dollars in compensation.
@jimmyhoffa9 As long as the shoot is Justified, all responsibility goes to the bad guy. (In Michigan anyway.) A case would have to include severe gross negligence for any responsibility to lay on the shooter legally or financially. i.e. There was a guy in Michigan recently that got car jacked by a person who broke into his rental property. The Shooter chased him down the street shooting wildly. He was convicted of manslaughter for killing an old woman in her house. That's GN, not a caliber.
@wolvee123 well what is LEGALLY allowed and what is MORALLY allowed sometimes are two different things. SO if you use the 10MM and kill an innocent, due to overpenetration ,even if it was a "good shot"(in self defense)j, you fell that is ok?? i would argue that you should have MORALLY used a round that is less likely to overpenetrate. just sayin.
@AmericanMade72 I don't disagre with your physics, but I am thining about this from a legal standpoint. I don't want to give an overzealous prosecutor any extra help. If there was an innocent injured by overpenetration I don't want to be holding a gun chambered in a cartridge that the FBI abandoned for that very reason, this could be used to paint the shooter as negligent, if not malicious in the eyes of an uninitiated jury. Read Mas Ayoob's stuff on anti gun prosecutorial tactics.
@AdUtrumquePeratus76 I hear ya. I guess it boils down to what state you're in. In Illinois, Commiefornia, New York, Mass, you're screwed if you use a twig to defend yourself. In Texas, Florida, Arizona, Virginia, maybe no so much. But really, what @Wolvee123 said is the most important thing, if it's a clean shoot. In other words, we can't let ourselves get into situations where we used a gun to "settle a dispute." It has to be used in proper defense of life. If that is the case, u should be ok.
Big & Heavy are good attributes in larger caliber handguns. You can’t cheat physics. Full size 10mm’s are a handful and have a snappy recoil and require good fundamentals and practice to gain proficiency. Because it took longer to get agents up to speed, and a tendency for the 10mm to over penetrate human targets, The FBI gave up the platform in favor of the .40. For most shooters, a super lightweight 10mm would be almost useless for follow up shots under pressure.
@pjicleanair420 But they hate you and the accessories are so laughably over priced it makes me sick. I've heard rumors that the P30 is supposed to take the place of the USP and once they do that and somebody starts making a 17rnd magazine, I'll have one in my safe. Great guns, the trigger sucks but that's easy to take care of. Thanks for posting!
you can never compare a sig or m&p with a glock specially a g-20 glocks are the ak's of guns, now if want to check out the most ultimate fully customized glock 20-sf on you tube or anywhare check my out at my channel, real cool video bro and I love all three guns thanks for putting out good vids,Mrsurplusnut out.
Well well, it's heavy, it's big bla bla bla..dude don't fall into the category of the nutandfancy guys..and the gun weights too much and is fatter and it's heavy and how can you carry such a big gun and bla bla bla, those guns on this video has nothing on that g-20 10mm its the most powerfull most dependable gun in the world its a powerhouse buddy, it has earned the name like bear gun,hog gun and most of all zombie killer, continue.........................
THE GLOCK 20 is great but im really waiting for the gen 4 with the new recoil spring plus the adjustable backstraps glock perfection.. more controllable an easier to hold can't wait for its release!
A good after market compensator like the one made by Lone Wolf reduce the recoil significantly making it as easy to shoot as a 9mm. And having a +2 base plate for 17 rounds makes more room for your supporting hand to control the recoil.
@TACTICALCHICKENSTRIP Semantics but that would be funny if it were really true. Have you compared the 45's ballistics and the 10mm? Night and day diferences
The best part is, you can get conversion barrels to shoot 40S&W and 357sig and use the same 10mm mags the gun came with. I think it's the most versatile gun Glock makes.

@rkarulkar94 Oh so that's the new name for .45. Cool, make sure you tell everyone to start calling it the 11.43mm. :0)

@wolvee123 Wouldn't go as far as to call it that, but it's just a unit conversion. Though the 10mm packs a bigger punch than the .45.
