Boo. I'm sorry Jackson fans, but Victory was a horrible lp. "The Hurt" and "Be Not Always" were the worst tracks on the lp. "State Of Shock" was the best hands down and "Torture" was ok, but I'm use to the 12 inch long version more because thats what they used in the video.

I think that Body, Torture, and Wait are the best tracks on the album. And while this wasn't the brothers best work, I don't think Victory was a horrible album. If anything, I think this album is plenty good to listen to, all the brothers get a chance to sing and they all sound really good. They really should have at least performed the singles on the tour. Does anyone know if the Jacksons ever made a video for Time Out For The Burglar despite it being a modest hit on the R&B charts?

The reason why The Jacksons never put the Victory songs on the playlist of the tour is because they wanted to keep the tour as classic as possible (exception of Michael's Thriller singles), plus while when the tour playlist was already established, singles from Victory werent yet released. "State Of Shock" was suppose to be performed with Mick Jagger as a guest on one performance, but that idea was scrapped.

This song was from their 6th studio lp, 2300 Jackson Street (1989). Only Jermaine, Tito, Randy, and Jackie were the roster at the time. Marlon and Michael only appear on the title track, but Marlon was absent from the video (I dunno why?)

Michael left the group in 1984 while Marlon left in 1987. He was really on the 1989 album because he was not part of the group.

BTW, the Jacksons never released a video for "Time Out For The Burgler." As the Jacksons, there were several hits they had that was never made into a video. "Shake Your Body", "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Lovely One" were their biggest classic hits, but there was no videos for either of them.

Alot of it came down to poor promotion. In 1989 Randy Jackson , the youngest brother released a superb album in 1989 with at least 3 potential hits on it. It didn't get the recognition it deserved . Also Jermaine's solo stuff is pretty great too .
