I go from 231 in remington to 94 in gary on my trip to plainwell, mi. The concrete near bridges and underpasses was the 1st thing that made me laugh when we started going that way(i was 3 at the time)!!!!
Nice video, I may be going up that way to get to Chicago, where I'll film this summer. There were a lot of trucks on that stretch from I-465 to US-30. That must account for why up near Merrillville, the highway widened to 3 lanes each.
The endless farmland past LaFayette was a first 4 me. I'm from GA, and I had to take the trip through there on my way to Wisconsin. But, it was at 3 in the morning and arrived in Chicago at sunrise. The traffic in Chicago was surprisingly smoother than Atlanta.

TRUCKS OVER 13 TONS DECLARED GR. WT. 60 MPH (Indianapolis only) 65 MPH elsewhere and it's been that way since July 2005.

to this day there's still a 60 mph truck speed limit for I-65 north of I-465 in a 65 mph (car) zone
