Just saw the Cinematic Orchestra perform this with the film in NYC. Gotta say, I haven't seen this film in years (film school) and the C.O.'s twist on the soundtrack was really quite cool!

This has to be one of my favourite movies. So much was possible back then. I wonder what the next medium for art will be - film has only existed for 100 years. It's amazing that we're at a point where we can make actual visual records of the past in this way. Imagine we could go back and see what Medieval Europe was like in this way. The people were so different, and yet so similar. It's all mind-boggling!
