  • We Cross-Country runners get similar crap from the football & volleyball players at my high-school and volleyball player get crap from football players and so on. Its so stupid!! Each sport is different, with different levels of difficulty for that sport!!

So I totaly hear what you're saying!! But sadly, trying to explain that to a bunch of teenagers never seems to go over well.

  • I thought we were talking about soccer football. Not american football. But still your kind is harder than soccer, and martial arts are harder still.

People say "taekwondo is gay" why is that, well is suppose their homophobic claims would be true. I could take on 3 of you at once so I'm definately gay or sad. Yeah and the fact that I'm twice as strong, fast and flexible than most of these people at my school makes me soooo sad, i would definately be much cooler if i couldn't take a gentle kick

  • Much respect! *Subscibed, I respect you're style of ..YouTube.ing. lol, it's real legit.

  • At the end of the day its all about wat you enjoy and how much you enjoy it , and it can only be as hard as you work at it .

But people shouldint try one up each other .

  • This shouldn't be talked about at all. Doing martial arts, you condition yourself to fight, doing football or any other ball games, you condition yourself to synchronise with your team mates, and to improve your endurance. Fighting is entirely different, you train yourself to prevent of being hurt. Unlike this football, your goal is to score. Football is game, Martial Arts is fighting, in short.

  • Remember this:

You "PLAY" FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, TENNIS, GOLF, RUGBY, or any other "ball" sport.

But you "DON'T PLAY" BOXING, MUAY THAI, JUDO, BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU or any other respective MARTIAL ART.

  • One final addition to this topic is what Jim Lampley said in the Morale-Pacquiao fight on March 21st, 2005...

"There are no other athletes like fighters. There is no other sport that will take more pride, courage, heart, and determination like fighting does."

  • Theres so much that goes into what we do as martial artist and the benefits and prizes are our knowledge and the beauty of the martial arts which is probably one of my favorite aspects is that it can be passed down which is something I enjoy so dearly. The hard work in my personal opinion put into martial arts as opposed to any particular sport is unmatched...now that may be a bold statement for some but honestly real martial artist know what Im talking about.

  • Peace to you brotha!

I do Muay Thai, and I am proud to say I am a Martial Artist. Football and Basketball jocks think they're the shit when they'd get murked bringin' their inflatable ego to a craft that takes way more discipline and dedication to master.

I have a friend who is half black and Thai and he's 6'2. He'll DROP any "ideal superstar" PG/SG of Basketball or defensive lineman of football in a real fight.

  • Well most of the time people ask what i do i say boxing / or thai boxing which is true seeing as how i train at a boxing gym and muay thai gym. Muay thai is just thai for thai boxing, if you were thailand all u would have to say is boxing and everyone knows what your talking about same as in america if u told a football player u box then they would look at the aspect of your training in a different light when you mention muay thai many to the untrained ear would automatically assume karate.

  • Most people are ignorant to the martial arts period...anything you say or in my experience have always said to these people was 'karate". In this day in age Muay Thai is no different....you mention Muay Thai and they're like huh what the drink??? or it's automatically assumed to be MMA....which quite frankly Im tired of fuckin explaining...most people wouldn't know what Muay Thai is if it wasn't for this backyard brawl cage fighting phenomenon. I use to just say Boxing but Im MORE than that

  • @WatWarrior22 I truly think the debate of if Football or Martial Arts is harder than the other is borderline high school banter. Football is a very disciplined sport as far as conditioning and team work. Martial Arts is also very disciplined with conditioning and knowing your opponent. Where we start splitting hairs is witch of the two activity's are more brutal or demanding etc. Well that's very debatable for several reasons. Players where pads because if they didn't they would be vegetables.

  • Im proud to be a Thai Boxer and Im going to continue to be proud and mention that all I have to say is Thailand kickboxing but basically most people are ignorant to not only martial arts but PERIOD HAHAHA....thanks for the love PEACE!
