they are sociable hamsters and should be kept with another one, preferably from the same litter. They'll feel less threatened if they have a companion. Its not fair to keep them alone, unless theyre fighting. The only ones that need to be alone are SYRIAN HAMSTERS.

i have 2 females they dont fight 2 females are ok together but 2 males fight 1 male and 1 female will have babies unless u want babies get 2 or 1 female(s) :)

If they are a young hamster, it just feels like a small pinch. No blood. If they're older, buy them a chew toy to keep their teeth trimmed.You should get one! Hamster owner

dwarf hamsters are ok living with other dwarves as long as they were introduced young but a syrian or a chinese dwarf have to live alone cause those breed will fight

Only get one, hamsters are solitary. Sometimes two can live together but most times one end up killing the other. So only get one :)

Yes, you should only get one. And get a male, they are usually easier to handle. It will not get lonely. Hamsters are used to living alone when they are adults. Buy him a good wheel to run in :)

actually if they are related and was kept in the same cage at a young age dwarf hamsters can get along very well...i have 2 male dwarfs and they are so friendly to each other but if you get one and then get another dwarf after like 3 months it will diffenatly fight

No. Dwarfs actually love to interact with others. You should get a boy/girl or boy/boy females tend to get violent

@animebassie actually dwarf hamsters can be housed together without them fighting just make sure it is 2 females. mostly regular hamsters are solitary animals and will fight if housed together. But you can house dwarf hamsters separatly.
