We live in a day where we always hear about the culture war or the 'God, Gays, and Guns" talking points from rightwing politicians and bible thumpers beat the pulpit about the demoralization of our culture and nation from traditional values. Yet, you don't hear a lot about this stuff. Aside from the real blatant and grossly obvious stuff like war, drug abuse, etc... this child beauty pageant crap is a real cultural perversion.
This is children competing about who's the most pretty, what the hell is that teaching them?? When they grow up they will have such low self esteem because of their pushy and selfish parents. They say they do this because their daughters wants to do this. Of course she thinks it's fun to dress up as barbie but this puts so much pressure on a little girl. To shave, tan and put that much make-up on a child is abuse. They should't care about their looks, they should be out playing.
I cannot beleive these parents. I can;t think of any child that jumped up at 2 or 3 and shouted I wanna be a cosmetic covered child wearing hardly anything and prance around for pedderasts..It is SICK!

Beauty pageants can build self-confidence, but I HATE the way they've turned; all about unnatural beauty and altering. Many pageant girls have surgery....:( And at a young age, many don't understand why they are being altered, and suffer mentally....although many do have fun! It's hard to judge.

i had tested 10 girls from a certain pageant( radom girls) and 9 of them said thay had a good time,it was the mini,princess(2) queens( 5) and 3 who dint win at all,

Them doing pageants is just like horse riding or any other hobbie, there are prizes which you aim for and things that you have to do to be able to win just like any hobbie which has competition!

Yesterday I walked into my Dr.'s office and there was a little girl there, who was around five years old. She had really long hair done in an adult style, wearing a skin tight belly shirt with thigh high boots and a mini skirt so short she would have made a hooker blush. When she & her parents got up to leave she had a fluffy toy dog on a battery operated leash that she was walking as if she was Paris Hilton or something. This sends the wrong message and I was disgusted. Let them be children.

I think what makes the video so unsettling coupled with the music, it really shows the depravity of how shallow humans can be. Judging children on how attractive they are, really? Plus the depressing fact that these girls will grow up in a completely fake environment. And everyone defending the pageants saying that it's okay because the girls like it: Since when did a child liking something define it as good/right? They enjoy it because it makes them feel like their parents love them, probably.

Believe it or not I like in the Country and EVERYDAY I go out with my sisters and brothers and gather up tree branches and make huts with roofs! We gather up rocks and put them in circles, put twigs in it and make little camp fires. I bet if you mentioned it to kids that do beauty pageants they will say, "AS IF." And what do the mothers do swear at the kids and tell them their not good enought and the mothers at fat and lazy while the kids are working their butt's of for a plastic crown!!!

The mothers force them and I saw a clip about mothers forcing their children to wax there eye brow's! They force them self to do splits and that can cause long life pain! Hair straighteners can burn hair and cause hair not to grow back. If they don't win the children will grow up thinking their faliures and not good enough for life. And if they do win (which their probably won't because they look like plastic dolls) they will grow up thinking their Miss. Goody tu shoes. It is stupid!!

Them doing pageants is just like horse riding or any other hobbie, there are prizes which you aim for and things that you have to do to be able to win just like any hobbie which has competition!

Yesterday I walked into my Dr.'s office and there was a little girl there, who was around five years old. She had really long hair done in an adult style, wearing a skin tight belly shirt with thigh high boots and a mini skirt so short she would have made a hooker blush. When she & her parents got up to leave she had a fluffy toy dog on a battery operated leash that she was walking as if she was Paris Hilton or something. This sends the wrong message and I was disgusted. Let them be children.
