What did you do to the top portion of your hair? I know its flat twists.....but is it curl up under? I might consider doing it this way?

I recently did my first mini twist. I like the style but after wearing them for about nine days, having used eco styler, I found that at least three of the twists would not come out. They had knotted at the end and I had to cut off the knot part. My hair is about 2 to 2 inches so I don't want this to happen again. I use shea Moisture daily, yet even it being soft did not allow me to untwist without losing those mini twists I had to cut out.

i love this style. But I was wondering if these really turn into dreads. I am looking for a style like this cause i have very thick hair but I dont want dreads. I looking for this hair style and maybe in mths down the road i would be able to wear my hair out.

I love this! And it will probably cut the time by about 1-2hrs for twisting. If you follow me, you know I don't have a lot of time with my two little ones. So this is great for me and I love the versatility of this style. Be blessed

@AmbraIsLovely THANKS! They weren't straight, they were shrunken.  I banded them at night. But they look straight the 1st few days then curl up if I don't band them like I showed in the video. Thanks for watching!

how do you wash your hair while in mini twists? when i have twists i find washing it tangles the hair very badly and leads often to breakage and shedding

@PunkinLPN Thanks 4 asking. My hair was air dryed.I don't like blow dryers. I used to literally cry having to it under them when I was at the salon back in the day. that heat sure does a job on burning my scalp and making it dry. When Iwas relaxed I learned how to air dry which works well 4 my natural hair too. Thanks 4 watching!

They don't look that mini...did your hair puff out after you twisted it? I'm really thinking about doing this hairstyle after I take out my protective hairstyle. And are those flat two strand twists in the front?

@FrankieFree03 Yes, those are 2 strand flat twists in the front. I guess everyone's interpretation of mini is different. I usually do my twists chunky so YES this is mini in comparison to the ones I usually do. If you compare them to micro twists then I guess they are not mini. Thanks 4 watching!
