  • YEEEESSSS!!! I KNEW this song was from a ACTUAL movie that I've seen and it was killing me cause I couldn't figure out what it was!! I can now...die it peace.

  • Wall-E brought me here. :)

  • is that barbra streisand?

  • @CrypticWatcher um yes. you are a sad person.

  • @nenelikefunnyvideo wow, you are really weird

  • why did u delete my comment?

  • gimme a thumbs up if you don't change your clothes for like months on end and still smell wonderful!!

  • 40 years ago actor meant: singer, dancer, and actor.

Nowadays, anyone can be an actor if he plays in a commercial!

  • @liviuflorescu Maybe if they played in a musical, otherwise no. I really can't recall--nor do I really want to--Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn, Crawford, De Havilland, Leigh, Stanwyck, etc, singing, and dancing. Acting, but not the other stuff.

  • In today's seemingly complicated world with fighting over politics and religion, it's so incredibly comforting to listen to music like this that remind us that life is still, even today, a simple and yet incredible wonder that can, and should, be enjoyed to its fullest. "The world is full of wonderful things."

  • 1 person apparently didn't want to put on their Sunday clothes.

  • What year this meant to be set in?

  • @marcdugy 1860

  • @marcdugy 1890-it's in the first part of the movie

  • @marcdugy srry, i meant 1890

  • Reminds me of Main Street USA in WDW. *tears up*

  • "Yonkers" tyler the creator. 2:33

  • who ever decided to paint #1223 like that needs shot. and i really wish strasburg would have kept the obsevation car the way it looks in the movie here.

  • @k41361 i kinda like the way they painted 1223, maybe just for the time period, but it did not need to be that gaudy. strasburg should have keep the Hello Dolly the way it was.

  • @k41361 what 1223? where???

  • @auggiej1 1223 is the "true " road number of the locomotive pulling the rain in the video. PRR 1223 is the only preserved class D16sb of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The 4-4-0 sits on static display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. In the 1970s and 1980s the 1223 ran on excursions on the Strasburg Rail Road also in Strasburg. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

  • @k41361 oh ok, i rly didnt get it at first

  • wait they didn't even pay for train tickets... -_- smh

  • I kinda wanna watcha this movia!

  • my high school is doing this for our musical this spring, its my favorite song to sing :D and dance to

  • Young Michael! Love this song very much. Michael is the first Phantom.

  • One person didn't put on its sunday clothes

  • i like this,it's a change from all that mainstream shit.

  • Thumbs up if you came here after watching WALL E a hundred times because of your children!

  • @tenshikei08 notice how noone thumbed up...noone wanted to admit they were parents -___-

  • @TheCakePopz Okay -_-'

  • 1:56 is it weird to find this piece epic?

  • Michael Crawford did all his own singing for anyone that didn't know.

  • This makes me want to marry a theater boy

  • How on earth is Ambrose that tall??

  • @thetwilitprincesses I saw the actor is 6 feet 7 inches tall :o (almost 204 centimeters)

  • @tenshikei08 really he's that tall?

  • @pj199494 According to Wikipedia, yes!

  • Compared to the DVD version, this video seems a little fast paced. Like, maybe a notch or two faster? :P

  • Gonna watch this film tonight! :)

  • gonna remix this!!

  • Tommy Tune is 6' 7" and he has Four (4) Tony Awards for Choreography on Broadway.

  • THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC HAS TO REVEIW HELLO DOLLY

  • Unfortunately, the world in WALL-E could be the world we're heading to... even though people might try and take care of the environment, large corporations, factories, ... will just brush it all in the air for that extra BMW or Porsche car at the end of the year... Saddening

  • @forrestcj1 - yes it is. On the end of the Movie, when EVE tries to make Wall-E remember, if you stop it, when she puts the tape, there is: 'HELLO DOLLY'.

  • Damn it, Barnaby!! LISTEN!

  • I would just like to point out that this is NOT from the movie Wall-E! Disney just used a clip from an incredible musical staring THE Barbara Streisand! Gotta give credit where it's due! :)

  • The ending always did it for me. That was the best.

  • Here in college your Sunday clothes are sweats and unwashed hair...

  • his voice is so cool i love this song :D

  • 278 likes and 0 dislikes. Now that's what I'm talking about

  • "no monday in your sunday cothes".... sorry that at the end of week end monday comes, but this song always always makes me happy

  • @settemenolive Actually it's "no BLUE monday in your sunday clothes." :)

  • @DefyGravity18 You're right ;-)

  • I just adore those classic movies, they were so pure, full of joy and love...You don't see people so happy and smiling often anymore... Times have changed...unfortunately...and I'm afraid the world will become exactly like in WALL-E...Sorry if I sound too pessimist...

  • @marilena6

The beauty of movies like this is you can enjoy them anytime and put yourself in that joyful frame of mind no matter what the real world dishes out.

It's better medicine than anything that's sold in a bottle and the side-effects are all good..

  • bloody classic

  • Won't come home until we've kissed a girl...what a great line. =3

My school is doing this musical. I can't wait for it!

  • i love how this film was released in like 1969 and it was uploaded 2010 <3 god this song is amazing

  • That type of shit would never happen nowadays.

    but yeah good song :-)

  • What show was dis?

  • Wonder why the fell off the stairs

  • Getting to know a great and Old movie from a Great and New movie....is a strange feeling.

  • @BurpAtTheMoon

I often point my fellow Mad Men aficionados towards renting How To Succeed.

It's like Mad Men dipped in Clorox, but lots of fun!

  • This sounds so...so.....so...DIFFERENT

  • This is the perfect world... Meanwhile in shitty reality....

  • @WumWip Perfect is boring. Stop crying about it.

  • @LiloPelakai

    Perfect is perfect, babe

  • Anyone noticed the super tall guy? 2:40 - 2:55 XD, I love this song I listen to it almost every day. BETTER THAN GLEE. They created a song, not cover somebody's else ;D

  • @ssimanime He's the same guy at 1:24 and 2:07, where you get a better idea of his hieght. He is tall, but at 2:40 he is closer to the camer which makes him appear taller than those behind him. He is also partnered with the shortest girl wich is probably on purpose to accent his height. It's interesting that his tallness is noticable more than her shortness. They probably got him a short dancing partner on purpose (she is the shortest girl there).

  • @ssimanime anything is better than GLEE.

  • @zace98 exactly, it's so stupid hwne people say stuff like "HUR HUR ___ IS BETTER THEN GLEE/JUSTIN BIEBER/REBECCA BLACK, I IZ SOOO SPECIAL 4 SAYING DAT!!1!1" like they're original or whatever.

  • yes the movie was a little silly , but today it seems like they are running out of movie ideas

  • the scene was filmed in 1969 with star wars only a few years later, it is considered one of the last classic musicals

  • 1:56 the WALL E part =]

  • she's too young to play Dolly

  • @draigfire

Babbs was brilliant for this What energy would one need to do these dances while belting out those songs!

  • @3801cc You dont need to sing and dance in a movie they loop it in a recording studio, and do as many takes as you need to get it right, she was too young to play Dolly, she just bought the rights, has nothing to do with her amazing talent, Dolly is older.

  • Meint Gott... Form the few seconds of film I could see on Wall-E I could tell the movie was odd, but with this I can see the movie is just downrigth silly...

  • @javiere1990 Which is the best thing about this movie. C'mon, it's a musical, it has to be a little silly!

  • @javiere1990 You say that like it's a bad thing.

  • @Freudianity It's 'cuz you can't read my tone... I actually like it...

  • this is amazing!!!! now i need 2 find elegance

  • thumbs up if you knew what hello dolly was before WALL-E came out

  • @SoulCrusher6171

Thumbs up, and yet WALL-E and his lady love EVA (who happens to be just A-1 with a laser) take this up to just the finest level.

  • @SoulCrusher6171 hah! I didn't even kno Hello Dolly! was on Wall-E n I saw this after..... well I never really did care for Wall-E n it came out wen I was like 12 or 13...

  • I'm glad I don't just like this because it's in Wall-e. Hello, Dolly! is a wonderful musical.

  • ..And we won't come home untill we kissed a girl...-fades-

  • No one does it better than Barbra!!! :-D

  • i love this

  • I'm 14, and I think that this musical is awesome xD Wall-E drives me to this xD

  • Out there

There's a world outside of Yonkers

Way out there beyond this hick town, Barnaby

    There's a slick town, Barnaby

    Out there

Full of shine and full of sparkle

Close your eyes and see it glisten, Barnaby

    Listen, Barnaby...

  • Put on your T-51 theres lots of Waste out theeere...

get out the brilliant Guns and Frag Grenades...

  • love the song but is it just me...or does anyone else think that the men in this video has very long legs??

  • @SilverJann94 It's funny that you'd say that, I was thinking the same thing! :D Great dancing though.

  • Michael Crawford: before he got vaguely creepy.

  • im sorry but i prefer Michael Crawford in this rather than Phantom Of The Opera. After seeing this it seemed like Phantom was too dark for him.

  • @TheRoxannaNicole Dont know weather or not to Vote up or down here? Because I enjoy both! and so did he!

  • Is it just me, or does Cornelius' voice not fit his look at the beginning of the song?

  • Mmm.. nostalgia - 'it makes you feel brand new down to your toooes!' What a great song :) What a great musical!

  • Put on Your Sunday Clothes!!!

  • It's so hard to pick who played a better Dolly on the one hand its Barbra, on the other hand Carol! It's impossible to pick just one!

  • this is my favorite musical ever

  • Comment removed

  • finally THE original wall-e version!!! :D

  • Loved it!

  • hmmm i've watched it over and over since thursday....it should be up to about a thousand views now! i love this song, but tomorrow is Monday and i'm still pretty sad about going to work! i wish i could go frolic around Yonkers with them instead!

  • @minterkorn Where's Yonkers?

  • @theoffkeydiva It's in the state of New York.

  • @theoffkeydiva The town which was supposed to be Yonkers in this movie is actually Garrison, NY. Yonkers was too big of a town by the time this movie was made. The train station at the end of the scene is still there. It's just that in reality it is Garrison's train station.

  • IT depresses that awsome stuff like this has so little veiws...
