Just a little request. I am thinking of buying a Real Trains inc. 1930's era industrial locomotive. I know some people have them on the LALS. I would like to see one in action before i decide. If you could include one in a video it would be very much appreciated. P.S. love your vids.
@karatestud47 Thanks, but that's very strange because I only see them at the meets (usually the yellow demo-unit, which I've driven a few times myself). I don't think I've seen one since the last Spring Meet we had, unfortunately. But I'll keep my eye out for one...
GGLS is looking into purchasing an RMI forney for use as a club engine, and we have heard good things about it. Also, why do you carry the fuel and water in a seperate tank car.
@steamfreak22 Interesting... We carry the fuel and water in a tank car because the locomotive tank behind the cab is taken up by the engineer's seat and the batteries for the electric air compressor. All the RMI Forneys I've seen are built that way.
No offense, Oskar, but you have been saying that to me for almost two years. When the time comes, yes, I will look into acquiring a live steam locomotive, but for now, I want to stick to my current projects at hand, and not dream about incredible would-be projects that I want to fulfill someday. After years of dreaming, I found that it only prolongs the time until I get around to starting that project I have in mind. Again, this is from experience, not predictions.
and would u believe that guy lounging in the background in the G scale area and that guy with his shoes off and feet up on the NS train was the safety coordinator? :)
That's so cute!

Nice Video's Alex. I haven't been to LALS since I was an early teen. except for the G gauge which is new to me, looks pretty much the same.

Thanks, the layout was installed in the late 1990's. Since, it hasn't changed too much.

Thanks, but it's better to have an electric engine than no engine at all.

Well, you should see his Chessie System EMD SD40. It is probably one of my favorite live diesel locomotives at LALS.
