The marriage was not consummated at age 6...the marriage was consummated at age 9, after Aisha had reached puberty and was psychologically mature, as was not unusual at all in those days.

So although that entire article implies that puberty could start as early as 7 (based on Roman law leading up to Church law), we did not cite it as evidence of the genetic range of puberty.

It is written in a poetic way that can be taken to mean different things. So different scholars come up with different interpretations. The marriage was not consummated at age 6...the marriage was consummated at age 9, after Aisha had reached puberty and was psychologically mature, as was not unusual at all in those days.
Psychological maturity only started to delay in the mid-18th century.
Since psychological maturity has drastically delayed in modern times, and since psychological maturity is a requirement for marriage in Islam, Islam requires that the minimum age of consent be higher in modern times.

You didn't show the key to Klingschor's first point - the 1st sentence in the journal passage he quotes, which shows your interpretation of it is wrong: "Age of consent has usually coincided with the age of puberty, although at sometimes it has been as early as seven." That's why he repeated it in his next 2 vids, which also refute your other complaints, including some false statements about what he said.

having read the entire article, taking that passage alone is a misrepresentation of what the article is saying.
Furthermore, that article was cited to discuss the "age of consent", and it was not one of our references to prove what the genetic range of puberty is. So although that entire article implies that puberty could start as early as 7 (based on Roman law leading up to Church law), we did not cite it as evidence of the genetic range of puberty.

This is not to say that there are not problems with western culture but we have progresed so far morally in our treatment of women, homosexuals, children AND tollerence of different cultures and religions, that is make any Islamic country on the planet seem like a back water. Look at how thiese groups are treated in Islamic countries and compare it to how those groups are treated in the west. The is no contest on who holds the moral high ground.

Are you saying that there are no countries where Islam is not the predominant religion or where Islam has a strong influence on politics and society? Of course these countries exist and in these countries we find moraly inferior societies in general. One small example of this moral inferiority is allowing old men to mary prepubesent girls - the only reason this practive continues is because of what is written in the Koran.

In 2008 a Saudi court has rejected a plea to divorce an eight-year-old girl married off by her father to a man who is 58, saying the case should wait until the girl reaches puberty. This was widely reported in main stream press. This was not just some tribal back water it acually went to court and they upheld the marriage of a prepubesent 8 year old child to a man of 58.

you've just proved OUR POINT.
The "marriage contract" cannot be consummated until puberty, and when the girl reaches puberty, she will refile her divorce request of the unconsummated marriage, and it will be approved (according to Islamic law).
2- marriage to 7 year olds (marriage contracts, without consummation until puberty) is STILL ALLOWED IN THE U.S. through common law marriage, still legal in 6 states.

Neither does our video, nor does the Quran, state that marriage is permissible to those who have not reached puberty.
And we are not changing any subject...this issue is about early-marriage societies (late marriage societies are new, and the are obviously not working) like Islam, which happens to protect youths from sexual abuse exponentially better than late marriage societies. Plenty of Islamic scholars do dispute your claims. The problem is that the Koran like other holy texts is open to interpretation. It is written in a poetic way that can be taken to mean different things. So different scholars come up with different interpretations. So rather than being the "divine word of god" the text now becomes the interpretioon of flawed humans. The real issue is there is no objective way of working out who has got it right as the same source text is cited.

Quite the opposite, part 2 clearly shows that an engaged girl must reach puberty before before consummation in order to give her consent upon reaching adulthood. If you want to know what the definition of incest is, then look it up. You will find that the definition varies...in Judeo-Christian & Islamic scripture, cousins getting married is not considered incest.
But when western daughters are raped by their fathers, that is incest & RAPE.
