i would buy the plans anyway , the parts and material cut list are worth the price by themselves , you can still use other material . but at least you have all the dimensions .
Hey I'm glad to see maynard is doing well. He looks really good there walking through the snow. Oh you were saying you didnt really have a way to expand the cylinder to fit it up, take the plugs out of both ends and shove the air blow gun tip in the base and if its a loose fit just wrap your finger around it and fill it with air and it will expand the cylinder. This trick will work with even the largest cylinders if they are not frozen.
Be carefull with the air, since it will compress. since the cylinder is new the packings will be tight and you'll get a lot of air in the end of it and when it finally moves it'll probably shoot out faster and farther than you want it to

man , its hard for me to go back and watch this with old maynard at the beginning, i still miss the big guy. anyway , the cylinders are.
1 cyl. is 3/8 port , 2 1/2 " x 16 " stroke x 24" RTL
3 cyl. are 1/2 port , 3" x 16 " stroke x 24" RTL
part numbers are 908316- b983
and 905416-b938 in northern tool .
if your trying to make it without buying plans , i wouldnt
recommend doing it that way , the plans will save you time and money.
