  • el amo de este estilo de musica

  • My next door neighbors are forever playing this, and some other song, but i kinda beginning to like em, as i already love Bob Marley =w=

  • Yes. I think of classic Rocksteady as being about 1965-70, after the Ska of Prince Buster, Derrick Morgan etc and just before the Reggae explosion. Derrick Harrington's The Loser has always been for me the archetypal example. Many groups, like the Wailers and the Maytals used all three styles successfully. Alot of older Jamaicans think of Rocksteady as the finest genre of music ever to come from the islands.

  • Please!! Can someone confirm that this is a pure ROCKSTEADY song in stead of Ska or Reggae?

  • @Nikoz7Makaveli Definitely Rocksteady, though the Wailers were obviously moving towards Reggae. As for being "pure", that's difficult to classify, since obviously it , like all music, has elements of other styles in it, but still definitely rocksteady.

  • Thnx alot! Clear! then there she goes, how many times, mellow mood and rocking steady must all be Rocksteady too, the beats are very similar to each other.
