Can't believe what I'm reading here! Those of you who cry foul and exclaim 'WHAT would LEE think?!' - he would probably dig it. It was indeed his wish that Dr Feelgood continue without him after he died. Of course it's not the same, and Lee is an impossible act to follow. But three of the four current members had served with Lee in the band, the rhythm section for nearly ten years, so they have every right to be there under the Feelgood name. Lee would've hated Feelgood to be buried with him.
Dr Feelgood were the band I grew up with and admired so much, but this is by any definition a 'tribute band' and shouldn't go on the road as ' Dr Feelgood'. Its just not the same without Lee Brilleaux.
I saw Dr Feelgood once with Lee Brilleaux at Essex University in late 70s/early 80s, did not then see them for many years and have subsequently seen them three times in the twelve months. Robert Kane is quite clearly an excellent 'live' performer. The band are still an excellent live act and that is what real rock music is all about.
I cant believe what im reading.....are you blind? or at the very worst deaf?...ive never come across such a 3rd rate 'pub singer'...if you think thats what rock music is about...well, im saying nothing more...you already proved you know nothing...
I was a Feelgood fan for many years, saw them many times, took many photos & met Lee Brilleaux twice, when Lee was ill I sent him a get well card & he sent me a nice reply, when he died I was very sad but when the band regrouped with Pete Gage I went to see them & was quite impressed as Pete although no Lee could sing Lee's songs quite well & the album he did with them was quite enjoyable but then they sacked him & got this idiot Kane who is crap I saw the once with him & that was enough.
The problem is that Robert Kane can't sing. As for remembering Lee, I have his tie he handed me backstage. One penny coin is slipped in so that the tie would stay in balance during live action. I'd have more stories on Steve and Pete but they'd fill up this page.

Who is Robert Kane? I always knew this bloke as Rob Coyle. He's still a tosser whatever his name is. Lee Brilleaux must be turning in his grave.
